Have you see the OVA or read the manga series of Hellsing? If so how far have you gotten? If not please direct your attention to YouTube, and watch OVA 1-4 at least. Warning: If you have watched the anime we require you watch the OVA, or read the manga. The anime is not canon. This is not our opinion. This is the law set down by the creator of Hellsing, Kouta Hirano.
Yes
Name: Captain Hans Günsche

Age: 177 years old Born: 27/4/1840

Gender: Male

Physical appearance:

Human Form:
He’s well-built and quite stocky but not overly so; he stands at the height of six foot eleven inches weighs 250 pounds. His face rarely shows emotion but he normally shows emotion and any changes of it through his eyes. They change to red when he’s experiencing powerful emotion. He is clean shaven and doesn’t display facial hair. His body language is usually laid back but threatening. His face is sharp and hard, though his jacket normally conceals this along with the cap this makes his face extremely hard to see. His great coat is extremely long at the back reaching his heels. His muscles are highly toned and it can be seen that due to his pale skin his abdominal muscles stand out a lot. With the red eyes of his kind this makes him seem rather menacing even with his otherwise neutral expression.

Humanoid:
He becomes a classic ‘wolf man’ he sprouts silver untidy fur, his height increases to about 7 feet 6 inches, while his hands and possibly his feet take on a clawed paw like appearance. His eyes turn red; he retains all his abilities in this form. He grows a muzzle and wolf ears, his muscles become slightly more pronounced while he fills out his coat a lot more. Otherwise it’s slightly baggy on him.

Feral/Wolf Form:
His fur tends to be slightly more white than silver in this form. On all fours he’s still far bigger than Seras, he stands over ten feet tall on all fours. His Fur becomes slightly messy, while in mist wolf form though. Energy seems to crackle along his furs while his limbs take on a distorted look, while his fur seems to ripple.
Clothing of choice: A plain Green M42 greatcoat decorated at the top of the left arm with the Nazi Eagle, an officers cap adorned with the totenkopf symbol, it is Slightly creased due to age. The peak is slightly brown-ish; he is usually seen wearing brown leather gloves. He also has Brown combat boots, dulled down due to the fact that uniform isn’t usually ironed or boots polished when attack or combat is expected. Adding to this he has standard green combat trousers that are tidy and whole. Yet again aren’t ironed.

Weaponry of choice: He carries two modified Mauser C96s with elongated barrels, Specifications:
Effective range 300-400m [2]

Feed system 10 round internal magazine fed by stripper clip or removable magazine
Sights V-notch rear tangent sight adjustable up to 1000 meters, inverted V front sight

Cartridge 7.63 x 25mm Mauser
Muzzle: Modified to a metre in length (doubles range)
One 14 inch long German Gun Bayonet.

Race: Elder Lycanthrope

Abilities: Lycanthropes who have either lived long enough (one-hundred and seventy years at least) to mature into these powerful werewolves, or those who possess the same abilities as one due to their development. They are the epitome of Lycanthropy, just as the True Nosferatu is the epitome of vampirism. As such, they are regarded as the highest class there is, and are often powerful in their own right. They have no need for a guardian and can fend for themselves though and though.
Traits: Steel-like skin (The Captains skin could stand Walters wires being wrapped around his neck, they can rip through steel), weakness to blessed and silver weaponry (silver can stop his healing and if it hits him in a vital area will kill him), instantaneous regeneration, massive super strength (he treats steel like paper, it poses no obstacle to him and to move or break it shows no strain on him, also it’s shown that while fighting Alucard in Warsaw he was able to kick his head off, a feat accomplished by no other character), agility (he could avoid attacks quite easily, stamina, reflexes, durability (he has been pierced through the chest and body and he had regenerated and could fight merely seconds after) and senses, ability to transform into a Lycanthrope (humanoid wolf form, feral form, beast form), the ability to transform back into a human when willed. He can also take on a form made of mist.

He’s a demon in Hand to Hand Combat, he makes use of every physical advantage he has. He makes sure that when he finally engages them they’ve made the first move. This allows him to get a good glimpse into how they fight based on how they actually charge him. Even after he’s done that he avoids rather than goes full on to meet them. He dodges until he gets an opening then plods forwards to regain lost ground and to make sure that they stay on their toes. By doing this he avoids unnecessary injuries and tiring himself out and maximises the lengths his opponents have to go to, to try and cause him injury. His next safeguard is his healing; any damage done heals straight back up again leaving him able to carry on. Making him difficult to fight; because of his technique and vast endurance and damage threshold. But one of his most effective weapons is his feet. He’s able to spin around and flip about in mid-air using economy of movement to kick out at opponents. Making it highly useful when fighting multiple opponents, he can move around while taking out large swathes of enemies and pushing them away giving him more space to move safely.

Organization: Millennium

Personality: He never speaks. But in his own way he is a stoic and loyal individual, this is shown by the fact that he always carries out orders. His expression really changes. Partly due to the fact he doesn’t care about communicating, ever since he was given to the Major he has gotten used to taking orders more and more. His world revolves around this so he is more than willing to defend it. He clings to this; it’s his one last link to the world. He also has a code of honour and he’s willing to go to extreme length’s to preserve it. This is shown in the way he pulls punches against certain opponents, he won’t take honour out of a weak opponent and unless it’s necessary will let them live. This is because there’s no honour or pride in beating a foe that will fight even if they know they’ll die. He sees it as below him.

He doesn’t get angry or upset he keeps himself under control, it’s how he survives. He has to carry out orders so in response he simply ceases to care. It’s his protection mechanism. By not caring then he can’t be hurt by anything. Yet he also finds himself as nothing more than a weapon and inside he’s decided that he’s lived violently so that’s how he must die. This causes him to seek out battle; he doesn’t care what the cause is as long as it’s long and bloody. With each opponent he kills he gets one rank closer to finding someone that could kill him. Also by dying in the midst of the carnage he’ll be able to leave an impression, he waits the day when people will say: That was where the monster fell. Also by looking after his dog tags he’ll achieve another purpose for when he dies. People will know his name; a small record of his existence will remain. While also being there to remind him of what he is, while reminding him of what he lost. Making him protective of it, it’s the only thing he has that means something to him.

Rank: Hauptsturmführer

Biography: Hans Günsche was born in 1840 to two farmers; they rarely interacted with people and lived in a small village in the state of Bavaria. Things were peaceful but around the full moon someone was murdered, it was a fact of life and the village didn’t know what to do. The deaths were simply attributed as being a wild animal, hunts were organised yet they never found what the cause was. Hans saw quite quickly how people argued and how men would fight over little things in the harsh environment. This left him slightly disillusioned with people, he only spoke when necessary. Though at the age of 12 he was attacked by the killer beast; yet something was different. The beast was a werewolf and over time had developed more control. Yet it was still far from refined, the thing held itself back from killing Hans but it still bit him. Turning him into a monster as well, the first time he transformed the next full moon. His parents paid the price; they were both mauled to death by their son in a bestial frenzy. He was left alone the next day confused and trying to make sense of it all. Yet the deaths were written off as normal and he himself simply dealt with it as best he could.

Those were the things he was taught by life early on to protect people from him. No friends no relationships or attachments, after that incident he ceased to speak. The fear of the same thing happening again shocked him into becoming a mute. He had the idea in his head that if he did speak then the same would happen to him, he associated the act of speaking with his parents slaying. After a while he just found it more comfortable not to speak. It made things easier; you stayed out of silly things like arguments and social lives. After that he was afraid and alone; he decided to take what he could and run away. Hans moved around in an aimless fashion for years, trying to learn to use his powers and using his inner monster to hunt. He learned to use his powers eventually, he could change into his wolf form at will and could control it, and it was after that he re-joined society. He used his strength to find work and to try and make sure that he didn’t draw attention to himself.

At the age of 84 Hans realised that things were going wrong for his country, people were out of work and it was becoming harder for him to find work. So like a lot of other people he turned to an extremist party. Specifically the Nazi Party of Adolf Hitler, persuaded by the speeches and the promise of freedom and an end to the treaty of Versaille he signed up for the SS, Hitler’s personal bodyguard his strength and physical prowess got him a place quite easily.

In 1923 after the Munich Putsch failed he was left languishing in a jail until 1933; yet due to his position he ended up in Landsberg Prison. Due to the privileges granted he wasn’t barged in upon and had his own room. In there he could simply turn into a wolf at the full moon and sleep knowing no-one would barge in and discover his secret, and when Hitler came to power he was released from his cell and was put back into an SS uniform. In that same year he took part in the night of the long knives and became one of the party’s greatest weapons, his strength was great and he that soon became apparent. The way the Nazi party viewed the world didn’t appeal to the Captain but like most he’d seen the country on its knees. But now he had a future that was the main thing, having something to live for meant more than anything else. And that could’ve been ripped away if he didn’t listen to his party and his Fuhrer.

In 1938 though something happened that reinforced his loyalty to the party. When news spread around the world of Kristallnacht, Hans realised he was completely tied to Hitler and the Nazi’s. His opinions ceased to matter on the subject of anything. Only Hitler was keeping him from trials for the things he did. He’d never felt so powerless, so after that his voice just seemed to leave him.

So when the war started he was more than willing to go into the Waffen-SS, he was put on the front line. In all the battles he survived without using his wolf form. But in a bloody field near Paris his unit was outnumbered, he did the only thing he could. Choosing to turn into his gigantic wolf form he charged the allied forces that had amassed. He crushed them in minutes; every man there was crushed by the werewolf. And after that there wasn’t any hiding his secret, he was immediately taken out of combat after that incident.

In 1942 he was handed over to a scientist known simply as ‘the doctor’ he was experimented on for months due to the fact the man wanted to expand his knowledge of the supernatural. It was helpful to the project, the more known about the supernatural the more chance FREAKS would become a reality.

He was put through all sorts of horrors in the doctor’s bunker, he had his identity stripped away and replaced with one thing. Loyalty to the Major, the Major above all, it was the only thing that mattered to him after the pain had been stopped. And after months had gone by he was handed to the head of the project as a gift, a perfect guard that would never let him perish.

Millennium was shattered though in Warsaw Poland when two Hellsing Operatives a 14 year old Walter and the Vampire Alucard destroyed the facility. Sending Millennium into exile, the fruits of years of work were destroyed and the survivors were sent running

After the end of the war, he accompanied the Major into exile in South America. He helped to build Millennium back from the ground up. Using the doctors surviving research an army of FREAKS was soon amassed. But Britain was remembered and in 1999 Millennium was prepared to take revenge, long overdue revenge.

During the Invasion of England while trying to capture Walter, The Captain was confronted by Alucard and Father Anderson. Upon seeing the strength of the two and Alucard’s counter, The Captain backed off. He needed to be alive, not dead after a fight. He decided he’d pick the time of the fight. No-one else would intrude on a fight between him and the Vampire that’d almost destroyed The Major all those years ago.

RP sample:
Sitting alone in his Billet the Captain felt alone, he’d felt that way for a long time and it was only getting stronger because of today of all days. They were getting ready to go to London and by tomorrow all of Millennium would be there. Standing up suddenly Hans reached around to grab his chair, he had his mouth open yet no sound came out. He hadn’t spoken for a long time. In truth he’d never felt the need. Looking around he observed his dingy billet. All around it then there was nothing to suggest that it was any different to a standard officer’s one. Spacious there was a bed and a chair. A small cabinet was by the bed with an uneaten steak on it. While the walls were badly white washed they were also filthy. A few empty bottles of whiskey lay on the floor, it was his only vice. But just like every other bit of him it was safely tucked away in this room. Outside of it he had nothing, or anyone. Crossing the room to sit on the bed the Captain reached over and grabbed the open book that sat alongside the uneaten food.

Opening it he ran his hand along the spine and then grabbed hold of the most important thing of all. The dog tag, it had been a present from them when he was young. So he’d always remember who he was. They’d died the day after, he had killed them. Tomorrow was the anniversary of his parent’s death. What would happen, he’d drink and then he’d sit on his bed and wait till he had to leave. They wouldn’t be proud of him; his mother would cry if she knew all the things he had done, his father would look away in disgust. Nonetheless he would carry their memories. For once a small piece of him was going to leave the room, and for a time he’d be a bit closer to the man he had been then. He would be closer to the women who had loved the man. Closer to the woman, who had with her death, shocked him to silence forevermore yet he would never be close to her. Nor would he ever be that man again. It was stupid to think otherwise. Throwing the plate aside he placed the dog tag carefully on the beat up table as if it would break.

Getting dressed quickly the next day he was ready to go at any moment and for the first time in years he wore the dog tag. Leaving his billet he went to go and stand alongside the major. Though he was going to look after the dog tag and things would be fine; there’d be a piece of him to be left behind after he was gone. For the first time in uncountable years though Hans Günsche left the billet, not the captain. Walking out of his Billet he noticed that like always the FREAKs never paid attention to him. They knew what he could do and so stayed out of his way. Hans preferred it that way.

Making his way onto the command deck he stood next to the Majors throne as he began to make his speech. Millennium was once again on the move, he wasn’t sure how to feel. Lots of people would die in the end but he would have his chance to die with honour with luck. Hours passed then the Major finally spoke again, the men were sent down into London and the waiting began again. Yet the Major seemed talkative, he wasn’t sure if the Major was speaking with him or to the room but the captain responded to the open questions how he could. He pointed at certain areas of London and shook his head; he was letting them know what areas to avoid. Then with his other hand; pointed out reasons why. With this he communicated his viewpoint along, The Major had to avoid the suburbs there were dignitaries in the centre and monuments. Still, the Major smirked and began speaking again. He hadn’t taken much notice of what the Captain had to say but at least the message had been gotten across. He flexed his fingers slightly; he had to make sure that the Major knew he was ready.

“Captain zere are a dozen squads of Papal knights making their way down toward us” the Major stated, he was unconcerned it seemed. He turned to face the Werewolf “Go upstairs und meet zem” Hans nodded as he turned away; his footsteps rang out in the almost empty control room. Above him he heard a shout as a FREAK’s second life was ended by one of the Churches dogs. The sound tore through Hans and he felt a flicker of annoyance pass through him. This sounded serious; he sped up and ran towards the lift; if they got to the Major that would be a disaster. He couldn’t and wouldn’t let that happen.

He jumped as soon as he entered the lift and began quickly pulling himself up through the shaft to get up to the top quicker. Hearing gunfire as he went up higher and higher the captain stopped as he realised he’d reached his destination. His head turned as he located the noise, there was about 20 of them in total. They had silver weapons if they were killing the FREAKS that easily. The knights were moving closer to the lift, Hans waited. Springing out from the wall the knights brought there weapons to ear and fired.

Hans turned into mist and moved around his opponents while turning into his wolf man form. He span around in mid-air and going straight into the middle of the group he kicked them away from him, they couldn’t fire their weapons so close to each other. His hand flashed out and crushed the windpipe of one. He heard the audible crack of a spine; due to his foot sending all its force into one of the knights breaking him. His hands lashed out hitting while he span around knocking weapons aside. After half a second the corridor was covered in blood, the captain threw off his cap and coat. There was going to be much more before the day was at its close.

Though I'd like clothes separate, it kind of works when we consider the character, so I have no problem.

There's a huge gap in history after he gets turned. Also, how did no one notice him transforming during his jail time?

I want to see a bit more interaction with others. A little creativity in how you "talk" to people, basically.

Small nitpicky point (and a lot of people miss this so no worries), but you mention Walter's wires around his neck and the fact that they cut through buildings. This is a misleading, and not entirely accurate, feat. It was teenaged Walter that got the wires around his neck. When an older (past his prime and yet more experienced) Walter engages him in London in 1999, Hans catches the wires and they draw blood. We can debate endlessly whether teen Walter or old Walter are more dangerous with the wires (youth vs experience) but we can agree that the building cutting feat was done by DARK WALTER, who not only had the skill of Walter in his prime but also supernatural vampire strength/speed/etc to help utilize his wires in ways we'd never seen before. The point of this comment is to drive home the fact that Hans ain't tanking something like Dark Walter's wires around his neck or anything with similar power. Remove the "and also buildings" in the wire vs neck sentence and it'll be an approval from me.

Ok, the others seem willing to give you a chance and you've made the edits I asked for. I'm still skeptical about leaving such a powerful character in the hands of a relatively new member but looking at your passion and the fact that Michel was nice enough to help train you a bit, I'm willing to take a chance. Make no mistake, I'll be watching you very closely and have high hopes. Don't disappoint me kiddo.
