| No more ad hominem from a staff member when a normal member brings up a fair point?
Also further involvement of members to be fully aware of new rules being proposed into sight. A transparency of non-dubious origins about what is to be implemented, in that manner would not come as a surprise as we, as people of the forum, have our say just as much as the staff members that represent forum interests. To offer our own opinions, as that will bring the notion of its relevance and need into sight. Staff perception of the forum differs from what is truly needed by members given the responsibilities each holds on a separate level as a result.
And for the LOVE of God, spread awareness to other staff members I'd rather not name of the full context of any situation, done only through involvement and dialogue between members as opposed to distanced apathy as far as observations went, true back in my previous tenure here, and true even now. Be aware of the forum you're administering, and be on the know how. If you aren't aware, neither online often enough due to being busy, then what's the point of accepting responsibility that you cannot handle?

With the current rules and regulations regarding death and upcoming changes in the rule system i would like to keep myself from ragequitting because one of my precious characters died a cheap death. Instead, i´ll play by the rules with a character i´m not attached to- if she dies, then thats that, time to roll up a new one. "

| I'm going to ask everyone politely to keep everything civil and polite. I will also respond to you Carsten by saying that while I do agree that members should be allowed to weigh in on decisions made by staff and maybe even have them overturned in certain situations, we are all responsible for our own behaviors and actions and a cohesive community listens to all viewpoints expressed by all parties. You will gain our agreement to notification anytime something does get changed. You will even be allowed to comment on and discuss that change but only after the change itself has been made. The reasons we were appointed to staff were to moderate the forum and ensure the enjoyment and well being of all members and the efforts being made, though they may seem harsh are for fairness across the board. The reason is because we are going to be experiencing rapid growth and some changes are to allow for the arrival and continued membership of new members.
Please continue to make suggestions with that in mind. |

| Okay,
Here's one I find useful as a newbie on the site. A timeline of forum/ storyline events. Basically a quick summary of what has happened on the forum canon or non-canon. I think it might be helpful for people who are making new characters to know in which events they might've been involved for their backgrounds.
Per example; on date x/x/x Hellsing gained new recruit bla... on date x/x/x Millenium created a new division for creating super alien-zombies with laser eyes, on date x/x/x the fog of war started
etc...
It keeps people updated of what has happened story-wise and can help them create better backgrounds?
Oh and updating the information center every now and then. :3

| Sounds like a pretty good idea. Something I'm already working on with the new site actually. Good job! |

| I think personally it would benefit the site and the people on the site. To keep the game in synergy with real time. If you could call it that and in those word's then please by all means at least about it would you? | |

I kind of have to agree with what this person said (I'm not sure if this rule still applies). But this kind of makes it unfair for the OC's because the Canon characters kind of get to live forever because they're the main event of the Hellsing universe. They're the heroes and villians of the story. Meanwhile this makes the OC's feel like they're expendable, cannonfodder to fluff up the storyline. I feel that people should have a choice if they want to kill off their characters or not. With enough discussion on both sides I'm sure people can arrange how their characters can die or not by just regulating the combat between the opponents to make sure they don't do any overkill moves that would normally guarantee someone's death?

| Well actually Canon characters are not dismissed from this rule, but of course as the rules states anyone can argue their death as being unfair. Since we have so few members at the moment I can certain bring up your suggestion though to the rest of the staff, and discuss it further.
@Jack: I will bring it up to staff as well thank you for your idea.

| https://nightshaderpg.rpg-board.net/t3125-rules#29097 There has been a revision in the rules. Turns out when we last revised our rules one of the most important ones was left out of the editing. It is our mistake, and it has been readded. We hope this helps your concerns. If there's anything else anyone is concerned about please don't hesitate to let us know. | |

Assuming this thread is still up for replies, and this hasn't already been implemented, I'd like to reintroduce the idea of a method for Non-PvPers to acquire Slaughter Points, so as to prevent being pinky-swatted into oblivion by griefers for participating in Public Threads. Also, an elaboration on the "D.M. Missions" referenced in the Slaughter Points segment of The Rules? I might be passing over the topic that'll answer my question; if so, I'll gladly accept a link or being pointed in the direction of a topic that covers these "DM Missions".

| Will there finally be a clause, enabling non-PvPers to RP without having to fear the wrath of Griefers?
As you might be able to tell, I am amongst the multitudes with Grieferphobia. :p
You work hard on a plot/storyline centered character, are developing your story and settings "Like a Boss", then some Griefer comes and nukes all your hard work in one go.
Its devastating! :-0 | |

| Oh yeah. We've had our fair share of Griefers in the past and sad to say, with some systems, it's unavoidable. Changes to the rules are going to make everything a very black and white system. No wiggle room will be allowed. At the same time, I plan to have two different versions of the site, one with strict rules and a no nonsense attitude toward everything and the other version will be more like a fan fiction site and be very loose allowing people to make what they want so hopefully we can accommodate all play styles. | |
