Hangar deck Empty
PostSubject: Hangar deck   Hangar deck EmptyTue Jun 04, 2013 1:47 pm

To be honest, Yureka was a bit scared of Hauptmann Günsche, the silent second-in-command of Millenium. Maybe it was because no one had seen him without his heavy cloak on, or because he never talked, but something about him made her blood chill. Yet, the Major specificly instructed her to take him along for the mission they were about to do.

A modified Bachem Ba-349 "Natter" one-way rocket plane would take them to their destination- Bavaria, in their homeland of Germany... their mission was to supply Millenium with modern, cutting edge weaponary from the german Bundeswehr to finally close the gap between them and Hellsing`s defenses. Naturally, it needed to be from the one and only trustworthy source...

As Yureka waited in the hangar, though, waiting for Hauptmann Günsche to arrive, she found herself fiddling with her hands in nervousness because of the man she was assigned to work with.

Walking towards the hangar with his clothing hiding most of his appearance, Hans Günsche strode towards his mission with intent. There was always an excitement of leaving the zeppelin and the destination only sharpened the captain’s mood, a few FREAKs stopped and saluted him as he entered the room. Looking at them one by one he made sure as to give each a brief look in turn, it was his way. He frowned as he saw the woman he would be going with, he always found women awkward to deal with when he was a child. His Dog Tags swung freely underneath his heavy coat and his mood grew slightly foul as he drew closer to the girl, it was one of the Dok’s creations and in truth he had never found the sly Dok’s creations to mean anything but destruction and despair. Dishonourable combat is merely beneath contempt he thought coldly as he shut off his feelings, he wasn’t about to let his thoughts get in the way. It will be interesting to see how the girl deals with what we do he thought savagely, he had brought a notepad along so as to convey his orders, not everyone understood his sign language and gestures.

As her commanding officer came up, Yureka saluted swift and briskly.
"Oberleutnant Espada armed and ready, Hauptmann." She reported, gestureing over to the small rocket plane already on the starting sled that was being fitted with its dangerous missle engines. "Our plane will be ready to depart in a few moments... we`ll be within reach of Bavaria during the next ten minutes. Once there we´ll eject the cockpit`s roof and land on foot as it will be quicker and less suspcious... from there on out it all depends on our skill."
An alarm was rung as the airship moved into position, stopping its engines for now and the lights above the hangar door flashed, slowly raising... a gust of cold wind rushed in, they were dozens of miles above ground.
Yureka looked outside in dismay, but eventually walked over to their vehicle and sat down on the smaller co-pilot seat- the bigger pilot seat was reserved for the large werewolf, and there was no "piloting" to speak of anyway- the weapons had been removed to compensate for his weight, the plane was radio controlled from the Deus Ex Machina´s control room... all they had to do was sit down, start the engine once they were in the clear and blow the lid once they reached their destination.

Nodding at her to end the salute the Captain prepared himself for the mission with a final checklist, he had everything and was now more than prepared for what was going on. This one seems eager, she’ll become another honourless cad like the rest if she carries on like this, sharp salutes and an eagerness for war he thought with disdain as he walked over to get into the pilots seat. Planes were never my favourite way to travel he thought as he climbed into his seat. The image in his head of the plane getting destroyed in mid-air only got a mental shrug from him, it didn’t matter if he died. An honourable death is all we can hope for, that’s the best thing that we can earn he took one last look at the hangar as the engine on the plane started, it was going to be interesting to see the fatherland again. Songs filled his head, and on the glass of the aircraft as it misted over slightly due to the cold he wrote a single verse before rubbing it out, Deutschland Deutschland über alles. His hand curled into a fist as he began to face dead ahead of him and keep his face even colder than usual.

One after another, the lights located on the catapult rail switched on, then it extended outwards to the sky... the final countdown began.
"Alright, everything is ready..." Yureka responded to her own mental checklist, pulling the canopy over their heads to close the plane. "Seven... five... three... one.."
A harsh kick later, they were launched out of the Zeppelin with a speed of a few dozen kilometers per hour... as soon as they were clear though.. "First stage rockets engage."
A more brutal kick, pressing them into the backs of their seats with about seven Gs, brought the plane up to cruising speed... that lasted for about twenty seconds, before the auxillary rockets were jettisoned and the main engines roared to life. "Second stage engaged..."
This one lasted a minute, and after that, the pressure relieved... a beeping noise inside the cockpit told them it was time.

"This is it, Hauptmann... Canopy ejection." Yureka said to him, then the button was pressed firmly, relieving the cabin of all pressure and exchanging it for brutal windspeeds. She gave him a pat on the shoulder, then stood up, MP41 firmly grasped, and jumped with a backflip in midair, aiming to fall facing down.
Down there was the homeland... and it was approaching. Fast.

The Captain glanced at his partner as she patted him on the shoulder, he found the young one almost amusing and it reminded him of how he was as a child. Though he hadn’t been one for long, circumstances had aged him quickly and now he was watching the same thing happen to a creation of the Dok’s, it was sad yet he wasn’t the Fuhrer It doesn’t matter he thought as he began his descent. This would be more fun than waiting around for something to happen; the air flowed around him and whipped his coat up. He kept a firm hold on his hat though so it didn’t blow away.

<----- Armory

Arriving on the flight deck, Yureka approached an unsuspecting Helicopter- ten soldiers had already gathered there and saluted, which she responded to with a salute of her own.
"Heil, Kameraden. Today we make history." She told them, which recieved thunderous cheers... brainless idiots, as always, but she still kind of liked them for what they were.
Having finally stopped, she looked back to Walter, crossing her arms in front of her chest.
"Well, have you made up your mind? You can still go back, if you think this isn`t going to work. I´m not forcing you to do anything and there´s no punishment for staying out of this. But if you do, you´ll miss the once in a lifetime chance to see a legend come back to life."

Walter did not salute, of course. He felt like an outside agent in this little bubble of camaraderie. Facing Yureka - the leader of the operation - he cocked his head to one side and scratched his scalp idly. "I appreciate the sentiment, but I'm coming. A boat is...what we need," he finished weakly, giving a shrug. "If I can help, then I will. If not, then at least I'll get to step outside this bloody place for a while."
Reaching into his pocket, Walter fetched a cigarette and casually lit up, striking a match on the packet surface before holding it to the end of the stick, smoke drifting up in curling tendrils.

"Be that way. Either way you´re a sailor on our new ship.
Yureka responded, sitting down on the floor of the helicopter and crossing her legs.
"Bridgette should arrive at any moment. i sent Rip a notice as well- so she might show up soon..
And with those they would be complete, as the remaining rest of soldiers had just arrived and began to board the helicopter. It would be a short cruise out there, to the tugboat they had- borrowed- along with diving equipment and submarines capable of withstanding the pressure four kilometers under the sea... and the depth charges, the ballons, the pressure activated deadbolts that would put the ship together as it would begin to rise.. and the supply vessel, which would bring the necessesites they needed for semi operational status.

Bridgette wandered into the hangar bay wearing a Nazi Wehrmacht uniform. It felt strange wearing this new uniform. A uniform that if she were to ever wear back in Germany wear she would be ridiculed and hated. She felt slightly lightheaded and her body was still growing accustomed to the modifications made to her body by the Doktor. During most of the procedure she had been unconcious and when she'd awaken she found her eyes had turned a bloody crimson color. Her canines had also grown considerably sharper in comparison to how they were before. She'd woken inside of one of the recovery rooms and a nurse had brought her a uniform along with a slip of paper with new orders on them. Her first order being to assemble with a few others on the Hangar Deck.

As she entered the hangar deck she looked around at the small collection of operatives gathered for the operation. She only recognized one of them at that was Yureka. Everyone else in the room she was not acquainted with.

Their tight schedule was getting even tighter... a look at her wristwatch told her they couldn´t wait any longer, or they´d miss the critical phase. Rip would have to follow with a second transport.
"Alright men, we don`t have more time to spend waiting for the rest. Lets move."
Saying this, the blonde stood up and gave Bridgette a hand to climb into the helicopter, since she looked like she was still on shakey feet. Understandable, after 90% of her DNA had been rewritten in the past few hours.
With this, she slid the door closed and the chopper`s engines began to roar, the hangar door opening with a rumbling sound... a minute later, they were out, the sounds becoming a bit more quiet now.
"Before we arrive, i want to make sure that everyone knows the scale of this operation. We`ve spent more than a million dollars on this salvage operation... mainly for the materials, but also for the fuel we`re currently spending with our flight. Failure is absolutly not an option. Everyone, i repeat, everyone has to work their hardest to make this happen, and that includes me as well. I may be your superior for this mission, but on the ship, i will work just as hard as any of you... keep that in mind. The logistics, the organization and the sheer number crunching would be a task for an entire office building- i`m doing it on my own, without a calculator. Remember that when i`m tasking you to carry a 100 ton turret to its rightful place."
After this short speech, Yureka held onto a handlebar on the top of the cabin and looked down to Bridgette with a smirk.
"I hope you don´t get seasick. If you do... thats what the poop deck is for, once we put it back together."

Rip stepped onto the Hangar Deck and approached the nearest helicopter. Announcing her presence with a small "Ahem" the soldier tending to the aircraft sprung to his feet and saluted "Lieutenant Rip Van Vinkle!" The Huntress saluted in return "I require transport to St. Nazaire, France immediately. Can you offer your service?" she requested, lightly drumming her gloved fingers upon her musket. The soldier gave a nod. "Jawohl, I can Lieutenant. Ve shall leave now" he answered. "Danke schoen" Rip grinned and boarded the small aircraft, humming sweetly. None would dare deny a Werwolf's order.

Rip and Emmerich stepped into the hangar bay, carrying a trunk. "Alright, zhis vill do" Rip said as they both heaved the trunk into the only aircraft available. It was small, but still fast and indistinguishable enough to prevent unwanted attention. The Huntress spoke briefly to the pilot before turning to the cyborg "Ausf, I am not entirely familiar vith how cyborgs operate so if zhere ist anything you vill need now ist zhe time to get it"

He shrugged, cracking a grin. "Maybe a million dollars and a day off, if I actually had a job. Heh... I can't actually think of anything I'd need, Ma'am. I carry my supplies on my person most of the time." The albino rubbed his neck, scouring his thoughts for anything that might be useful to the mission at hand. However, nothing surfaced other than usual things, probably things the Lieutenant had already thought of. "Possibly spare ammunition and firearms? That's all that comes to mind."

Enter from the return of evil --------->

The SS-Sturmscharführer entered the hanger deck, the combat boots on the sergeant-major echoing ever so faintly. Even among the usual infantry, the madman had a blood soaked reputation. Some even joked about him being equivalent to a demon back in the days of the fight for Stalingrad. That hadn't changed in the slightest, no matter how many years went by. Upon some of the soldiers glancing at him with the look of utter shock that he had come out of the coma the legendary paladin put him in while others had the look of absolute fear. A sinister smirk crept across Morphine's face, clenching his fists tightly before throwing his arms upward while his back arched backwards; the voice of the Sergeant-Major roaring through the hanger. "Ich bin wieder von Hölle, für die Hölle spucken mich wieder aus!" (I have returned from hell, for hell spat me back out.) The monster-like human spotted a familiar figure. Closing the distance quickly, Morphine gave a strong sieg heil to the musket-wielding lieutenant. "Frau Winkle! Ich haft returned from zhe deepest depths oft hell to serve millennium vonce more!"

Rip nodded in agreement at the cyborg's suggestion. "Ja, zhat vould be good" she replied, weaving her hair into a long braid and concealing her swastika pendant from view. "Ve can never haf too many und---" A loud voice suddenly boomed throughout the bay and cut though her words. The Huntress spun around upon hearing the sound of something behind her approaching with haste, only to be greeted by a familiar face.

"Morphine! How vonderful to see you again!" Rip greeted, saluting in return while Emmerich eyed him with suspicion. "I take it zhat you are eager to return to vork?" she asked, amused by the Sturmscharführer's enthusiasm "you are velcome to join us if you vish, zhe more zhe merrier~"

The cyborg glanced over his shoulder, narrowing his right eye for a moment as he studied the figure, eventually remembering bits and pieces of tidbits that were, alas, mere slices of a puzzle that was this man. One corner of his mouth slipped into a frown, as the albino disliked loud noises, when those noises happened to not be the glorious, beautiful sounds of his own cannons thundering off, reducing enemy fortifications to rubble. His eyes flicked around to the now fearful soldiers of Millennium who appeared to cower away from this one, other than Emmerich. Opinions about that one ran along the lines of one who was suspicious at everything, trusting no one. A good trait to have in some situations.

A hand reached behind him, to one of the bins on his armor, slipping a finger in and withdrawing a cube of butterscotch, flicking it up into his mouth with his thumb. "Ampf... Ms. Van Winkle, shall we begin planning the carrying out of our mission?" A finger brushed his silvery bangs out of his eyes, up under the rim of his helmet enough to where they fell just to the side of his left eye. If they actually did begin to plan, which would be the smart thing, for smart people, who wish to conduct war unto eternity instead of die a meaningless, poorly-thought out death at the hands of some cheap vampire slayer or mercenary, as opposed to riding to glory upon the ashes of the world, and then remaining to watch it rebuild, and burn it down again.

The voice of the Lieutenant was equivalent to the most beautiful of operas to the Sturmscharführer's ears; the voice of a valkyrie that had the Sergeant-Major's heart. It was one of the few things that made him feel like a person rather than just a... thing. His devotion to millennium and the huntress was beyond questioning. A faint, genuine smile came across Morphine's face. "But oft course, Frau Winkle. Ich am alvays ready to work by your side." Gloved hands tightened around the MP-43 assault rifle in his hands. He was eager to prove that despite the critical condition he awoke from moments ago that he could still be of use.

Rip nodded at the cyborg's words once more "Zhat vould be vise, Rome ist enemy territory und going zhere vithout a plan vould be a death sentence." The Huntress was acutely aware of the dangers of facing an enemy on their home ground. Naturally she would opt for more familiar territory or at least somewhere neutral. She despised the thought of handing over an advantage so freely to anyone.

"Hmmmnn...you suggested ve question one of zhere own, did you not Ausf?" she asked "If ve go ahead vith zhat zhen ve vill most definitely have to silence the poor bible thumper, it ist zhe best vay of keeping a secret, after all...ve cannot allow zhem to run off crying to Iscariot und I vould like to avoid such hindrance" She paced slowly as she thought. The cyborg thought for a moment. "Yes, we could kill them, however, that would alert the Vatican to something's presence there. My suggestion is that we pass ourselves off as a government organization from another country. Possibly Russian, as they aren't the kind to reveal what they are and are not doing, in my opinion." He glanced downward at his weapon hanging from his hip, then back up at the other two. "Although, I do think that having a decently large weapon pointed in your face would be sufficient. In my experience, anyway."

Did somebody say interrogation? A sense of chaotic joy began to fill the Sturmscharführer, the faintest, eerie beginning to creep across his face. "Interrogation vas one oft mein specialties back in zhe great var." The madman pulled a small roll out of his uniform, letting it unroll itself to reveal several surgical tools and blades. "Mein uncle vas un butcher und said zhat zhe flesh held no secrets... Ich found zhat out to be true meinself vhen Ich preformed mein profession." A soft snicker left Morphine, rolling his interrogation equipment back up before placing them in his uniform again. "Ich vould rather avoid zhe Iscariot's territory after zhat last encounter vith zhe holy executioner... so vhat ist zhe mission anyvays? Collecting veapons und ammo? Ich could message some of mein contacts to look into some places vith low risk und good payouts. PostSubject: Re: Hangar deck   Hangar deck EmptyWed Aug 20, 2014 12:27 pm

So here he was, to do a mission he was summoned to do as all good Millennium forces do around another person of equal rank he disregarded as having compensatory issues upon which he didn't really bother paying attention to, Rip Van Winkle, the one who actually used a musket with bullets that tended to actually contort and distort in direction to hit the target, though effective in ripping to people to shred with surprise, it was also a nice way to snipe without ever having to miss unless someone actually had decided to wear something thick for shielding, which'd no doubt leave dents, and there was whomever wished to join this venture to which Carsten decided not to fondle their attention since that's not what he was here for.

From behind all of them appeared the Sergeant Major, Carsten, holding the FG-42 in hand and in camouflaged equipment with his distinct cap, and a combat webbing of sorts to hold his ammunition. Surveying all of them and the area behind him as he took inventory check to understand what available resources are there. A distance spanning 10 feet between him, the fellow with the same rank, and the cyborg whom he regarded with a smile, and finally Rip Van Winkle, had been followed by an unaccented tongue of fluency, in his German that carried accent found from Switzerland. "If the lot of you are going to Rome itself, and are in need of an interrogation expert, as ordered by my superior officer, I'll accompany you all. I have prior experience, let's say, intimate one, as a former member of the Iscariot order, gentlemen, and lady, with the inner working of the Vatican and whatever modus operandi they perform within purview of knowledge, and if need be, interrogation as well. Everyone breaks eventually," He looks to Morphine, smiling still without a shred of malice to his fair and angelic face, "Everyone." And then he snapped a brief and curt salute, before slacking from his Nazi posture.

"Ja, indeed" the Huntress agreed. "Ve are vasting time, ve can finalize zhe details on zhe vay. Let's go" she said and climbed into the aircraft, signalling the pilot.
