He had heard about the infestation of the city tunnel from an old associate of his from City Hall. As soon as the sun was behind the clouds, and the sun was a dark orange hue, he had already left the domicile where he stored his coffin in a heavily sealed underground vault. He had traveled to City Hall, spoken to one of his Informants that worked there, then procured a copy of the underground subway's blueprints. After that, he'd phoned in a few of his past accomplices, letting them know of the mission, and ensuring they would be on standby in case he somehow ended up getting in over his head.

After spending the following three hours loading the subway tunnels, he'd hidden some of his favorite weapons and accessories in various obscured spots in the tunnel, either taping them in somewhere, or hiding them under a pipe or chunk of concrete. In addition, he'd jury rigged his own homemade brand of snare, using mousetrap 'technology', and setting it up so that thin, practically invisible wires could be rigged on the corner of it.

The instant someone tripped the wire, it would form a circuit that would send a signal into the small, penny-sized panels he'd soldered together, causing a light to flash on the small, reconfigured remote control he held on his hand. At that point, he would have the option of hitting "Channel Up" (detonate the shrapnel fling mechanism he'd implanted his devices with, that send a small spark of electricity into the 3 cherry bombs wrapped together in duct tap, and the resulting explosion would send bits and pieces of shattered silver into whomever was standing there when he'd detonated the device.

This was hardly profound technology. If a human came by and became the victim of this attack, they would only sustain mild injuries. However, the explosion would form a distraction, and the explosion of the gunpowder in the small cherrybomb bundles would send smoke into the air, enough to obscure the space around the target long enough for him to deduce whether it was friend or foe.

Although, he doubted he would find any friends down here. And fortunately, if a problem arose, there were more than a few buttons hidden on his armored gear that would let him trigger the Failsafe, rendering all (or some, depending upon which button(s) got pushed, inert.

Dark, damp tunnels that give a huge echo... not the best place for firearms, but luckily Mato had put on her earplugs prior to investigating this old, abandoned subway- a perfect hiding place for vampires, ghouls and werewolves. She was without backup, but it would come at a moments notice should she ask for it..

"Hey, anyone here?" the Hellsing operator called out, taking her chances with luring them out.... it`d be easier to hold her ground against attacking vampires rather than an all out, dynamic battle.

The hair on the back of her neck is standing up, warning her of incoming danger... something is definitely here, though she can`t tell who or what it might be. Might be a vampire, might be nuclear war... right now, all she could do was tap her holstered pistols with her fingers to make sure they were there, loaded and ready to go, while investigating this abandoned subway station.

He was going over the specs of his complex snare network around the tunnels when a light lit up on the remote he was holding. Reaching into his bag, he pulled out what looked like an old, classic GameBoy, but that had a modern-age LED Screen where the old yellow-and-black was. Flipping the POWER switch, he watched as one of the hidden cameras revealed the presence of a seemingly young woman, armed with two pistols that were only slightly concealed, yet placed well within her reach.

Quote :
"Hey, anyone here?"

Unfortunately, his little hodgepodge batch of electronics didn't carry sound, but his heightened Vampiric senses picked up what the devices could not, and he narrowed his eyes, pocketing the remote control and slowly making his way through the tunnels, in the direction of the voice that had called out.

Turning around the corner, he stopped short as he suddenly spotted the woman in question. He, dressed like a Navy SEAL, gear and all (only black):

His helmet hanging off the back of the piece of modern-age armor that covered his torso, he seemed surprised to find her here, this close to where he'd finished rigging his trap.

He waited now, staring at her with peak alertness, waiting for any twitch or muscle spasm that would indicate a need for him to defend himself, all the while prepping his hand to bring his helmet over his head, should fighting commence.
