Maximillion (Death by betrayal) Empty
PostSubject: Maximillion (Death by betrayal)   Maximillion (Death by betrayal) EmptyThu Feb 21, 2013 5:14 pm

DEATH: After forming an alliance with the vampire Hyaskus, Maximillion's behavior eventually prompted a betrayal during which his throat was slashed and his blood drained by his short-lived companion.

(I am familiar with the OVA and Manga)

Maximillion (Death by betrayal) Maximillion

Name: Maximillion X
--Alias: Qros, Maxim
--Codename: Bloody Black

Age: 99 (Fri, Oct 13th 1905)

Gender: Male

Physical appearance: Maximillion stands at a tall 6'7" with eerily colored eyes (yellow-gold irises, crimson sclera), raven black hair woven down in fine waves down his back. He is of a stocky-muscular build (muscular with some belly). He can easily be mistaken for a muscular man, until he takes his top(s) off, revealing a fairly padded musculature. His entire body is covered in various scars, hard to discern due to their being only a couple small shades darker than his normal skin complexion. He stands tall, making optimal use of his height and musculature to stand tall and powerful, sometimes even taller when he wears boots that bring his height up an additional inch or two. His long, black hair is sometimes put back into a series of braids, or just allowed to fall free down his back. When he walks and moves around, he does so in a way that exudes a powerful sense of Presence, and keeps his eyes straight ahead (for the most part), as though walking towards an important destination with utmost resolve.

Clothing of choice: (see image above)
A gray and red hooded doublet made of cotton and polyester with leather buckles in front.  The shirt is extremely soft, lightweight and poly-cotton blend, interwoven with leather. The pants fasten with several buttons up the front, lace in the back, with elastic stirrups. Boot toppers with several buckles, made of leather, and leather gloves with extra reinforced leather around the exterior, and an extra layer of thin leather around the palm for better gripping. The cape comes with a leather shoulder pauldron with ultra-suede, lined in satin with metal pieces and enforced leather, with a red sash behind the belt and baldric. Twin vambrances have images of Alexandru's Noble House carved along it, and are heavily reinforced leather, lined on the insides with small bits of metallic alloy.

Weaponry of choice: Maximillion prefers to fight with his own two hands, or with things in his environment. Anything from a makeshift stake from a snapped tree branch, to forging a sling from vine or dense grass and stones, to picking up whatever weapons his prey drops after he has either killed or subdued them.

He currently carries the following:
-- .600 Nitro Express Zeliska revolver *
Maximillion (Death by betrayal) PfeiferZeliska_600
The .600 Nitro Express Zeliska revolver is an Austrian single-action revolver produced by Pfeifer firearms, weighing in at 6.001 kilograms (13.230 lb) and having a length of 55 centimetres (22 in). The cylinder section alone weighs 2.041 kilograms (4.500 lb). The Zeliska is also one of the most powerful handguns in the world, producing a muzzle energy of 7,591 foot pounds. The weight of the gun helps control the recoil, making controlled shooting possible.

-- Smith & Wesson Model 500 *
Maximillion (Death by betrayal) SmithnWessonModel500
The Smith & Wesson Model 500 is a five-shot, single action/double-action large caliber revolver produced by Smith & Wesson, firing the .500 S&W Magnum cartridge, a .50 caliber bullet. It is built on S&W's largest frame, the X-Frame, which was developed because none of S&W's existing double-action frame designs could handle the muzzle energy and pressures generated by the .500 S&W cartridge. It is the most powerful production revolver in the world today, and it is being marketed as being "the world's most powerful handgun" by the manufacturer.

6 Speedloaders for each, with mix-matched Silver/Normal Hollow-Point bullets in each. Locations concealed somewhere on his body.  The custom-made speedloaders, fashioned by an old friend of the family who operates underground, and with all the anonymity the underground circuits - and the big money of organized crime - can afford, which is a considerable amount. This man, while mortal, still fashioned weapons and ammunition professionally, although he is now Maximillion's own personal contractor.

Cloth bundles hold each of the speedloaders, preventing them from clanking around, and aren't disposable, therefore making them  conveniently reusable.

* = Each were acquired from fallen Hunters, each came with specialized silver bullets. He is currently seeking someone who can help him customize them a bit more to his liking.

Race: Vampire (Cat. D)

Abilities:

Vampire: Category D
Regeneration may take a long amount of time for major damage (ie: 15 posts), sublime supernatural strength, agility, stamina, durability, and reflexes, big weakness to silver and blessed weaponry but survivable, killable through conventional means, ability to turn virgins into vampires, non-virgins into somewhat weak ghouls, the need to drink blood occasionally, susceptible to unblessed damage (still fatal to them), meagre weakness to sunlight (as in they get sick around it).

Vastly Exceptional Intelligence
Maximillion was particularly gifted as a mortal, a blessing that only became greater as a Child of the Night. While not representing any real degree of book smarts, this intelligence allows Maximillion the capacity to absorb and process data about his surroundings, opponents and environment in short order, and calculate a series of strategies he can use towards survival.

He cannot automatically 'know' things that are impossible to know (an opponent's identity, etc), but if it's capable of being known, Maximillion can process and react to it in a short amount of time. While the vital details of the gleaned knowledge is retained, the bulk of the data collected is 'released', meaning it will slip his mind, leaving him with only the 'bare essentials' he gained from the encounter.

Gun, Sword and Unarmed Proficiency
Maximillion was trained extensively in wielding a sword and fighting unarmed once being Turned by Alexandru. As time went on, and different kinds of guns became more readily available on the battlefield, Maximillion was also trained in how to use these as well.

Organization: Unaffiliated

Personality: Maximillion is aloof and detached from people around him, often feeling (sometimes rightfully so) that others don't understand where he's coming from. He tends to distance himself from others, only saying what needs said, and leaving the bulk of conversation up to others. If he becomes comfortable with someone, he will often seek to share different bits of information and data he's collected with them, as he takes great pride in his intellectual prowess.

In battle, Maximillion's emotions flatline, his incredible brain taking charge and assessing his environment, and combat possibilities much like a supercomputer might. Weather conditions, muscle twitches, eye movements, attack trajectories, so much of the environment that would often escape a combatants notice will fall into his realm of perception.

Maximillion adheres to a personal Code about not killing innocents. That's not to say he hasn't been on the brink of madness due to bloodlust and given in when he'd rather have not done so. But he has, for the most part, done well to target only felons and criminals. He prefers to pick his prey from local prisons and asylums for the criminally insane, relying upon isolated individuals to help him maintain a low profile.

Rank: Bounty Hunter

Biography: Maximillion was a gifted intellectual as a mortal, the actual extent of his intelligence squandered in a world of segregated bathrooms, water fountains, and discrimination against immigrants was at an all-time high. His parents worked hard doing jobs of hard labor. His mother was a janitor at a local factory, his father worked on cleanup crews, worked hard hours at an automobile factory, and whatever other jobs he could to support his family. Maximillion went to school at a school for African-American children, run and operated by African-Americans.

In his youth, Maximillion found ways to 'work the system'. He would shine shoes outside of businesses and barber shops, run errands for Caucasian businessmen in exchange for pocket change, and do farmwork for low wages on rural farms. When he wasn't working, he was fighting; he never backed down from a fight. He was challenged often, and didn't always win those fights, but held his own better than anyone expected the lanky black teenager to.

Coming of age, Maximillion continued most of his entrepreneurial pursuits while taking janitorial shifts and some part-time shifts at the factor his dad worked at. With the money he saved up, and with the advice and urgings of other men in the community, he finally ended up started an underground Fight Club for men who wanted to get their frustration at the day out by hitting other people in the face and being able to get away with it. It started off only having African-American men fighting, then some Caucasian men came into the mix, along with the other ethnicities as well. People would pay a small fee to place wagers, fighters would fight, money was distributed, and Maximillion was left with a healthy profit. The rules, of course, was that those in Fight Club DID NOT talk about Fight Club. People were only brought in when it was proven that they had nothing to gain by leaking info out, and they had enough fighting ability to get people to pay high stakes on them.

For a swarthy American man of his era, Maximillion displayed great cunning and shrewdness in these pursuits. He kept his head down, remained humble, and kept his earnings a secret, always collecting fees through a proxy...usually someone who was in his employ, who hadn't even really seen his face, but would be met in a dark alley somewhere to perform the transactions.

One night, Maximillion was a victim of a Vampire attack. For reasons unknown to him (it was to make use of his keen intellect and street-smarts for the Vampire's own personal gain), he was Turned, and employed by his Master, who only identified himself as "Alexandru".

After letting Maximillion feed from his blood and releasing him as a full-fledged Vampire, Alexandru went out into the world with unknown aspirations or motives, only to be assassinated by Iscariot's own Father Alexander Anderson. When Alexandru died, word was relayed back to Maximillion, through one of Maximillion's vast underground information networks. He spent a period of three months doing nothing but mourning, only breaking from this cycle to feed when necessary, then return to obscurity.

Feeling more alone and secluded than ever before, Maximillion began to become more withdrawn, only leaving his hiding spots whenever he absolutely had to feed, or had to earn money to afford the two-story house he and his Master had shared. He currently has a massive library of books both new and old, having read many of them twice or more, and still spends the bulk of his awake hours in seclusion.

RP sample:

"Do you think me incompetent?"

The question was asked simply enough, but there was enough of a hint of threat to it that the white-clad man knew he was treading on thin ice.

Getting up from the chair opposite the table from said man, Maximillion got up, clasping his hands behind his back and walking over to the window that looked over the expanse of the city. By now, people knew this meant he was entering a state of contemplation. Whether to maintain his composure, or just to consider the possibilities, this was one habit he still had a hard time deviating from.

"Did I not rescue your daughter when she was captured by the Lybians?" he asked in an emotionless, yet inquiring tone. "Did I not recover the stolen paintings when Skraag spirited them away to Colombia? You have brought me your troubles, and I have seen that each situation was resolved without incident. You got your daughter back, I retrieved the stolen paintings, and I even brought you back some weaponry you didn't even know had been stolen from your vaults. Why, then, are you treating me as though I am some kind of novice or rookie?"

Again, his words weren't spoken with hostility, but when he turned to face the man again, his eyes were narrow, steely and hard.

"I will accept the job. In exchange, I want double the rate we agreed upon. That weapons factory is heavily guarded, with a large number of well-trained troops in it. We're not talking about a small group of bandits. No, this is quite serious indeed."

Maximillion pulled out a small device, setting it on the table before the white-clad man before turning his back to the man once more.

"Place your thumb on the screen. Once you scan it, half of the payment will be sent directly to my savings account. Once I complete the job, I will have you do it again, and the second installment will follow the first."

For years, Maximillion had been taking jobs like this, to make good on his exceptional infiltration skills. Although he was a Child of the Night, he wanted to make a living, accumulate wealth and finally become able to pool enough money to buy himself a large estate, which would make his living conditions far more hospitable than in the ground in some cemetary crypt, or worse.

Once the process was complete, the man was excused, and Maximillion was left facing the window again, noticing the streetlamps outside were finally starting to light up. Looking even higher, he noticed a Full Moon over the horizon, and a smirk began to play along his lips.

"Looks like a nice night to go for a walk..."

Combat RP Sample Maximillion darted forward, grabbing the fallen rifle from the ground and yanking the bayonet from it's length before hurling the gun at the first assailant, catching them in the chest and sending them careening off the edge of the cliff. Twirling the bayonet in hand, the ebony Vampire then kicked off the ground, propelling himself backwards past the treeline, landing in a crouch behind the boulder he had tucked in place prior to the encounter.

Pressing his back against the adjoining rock, he planted both feet against the boulder, then sent it flying. Already on his feet again, he bolted after the boulder, strafing to the right just as the last opponent strafed left to avoid the boulder, slashing in a downwards arc with the bayonet and causing a deep slash wound across the assailant's torso.

Once he'd confirmed that his foe had been rendered harmless, he turned and dashed off into the woods. Bayonet in hand, he kept his eyes trained on the forest ahead of him, looking for signs of his comrades, the mercenaries who had also been sent out on this mission, finally realizing that he was the only one left who could check on their progress. He knew they might resent it, but he had to make sure he wouldn't end up alone at the rendezvous point.

They were running out of time!

The time for drastic action had finally come.....

More specific detailing on appearance.

Specifications on weapons.

Thinking it takes a bit more to start Fight Club than just, "I'ma start Fight Club!" Where'd he get this idea from? How'd he get it started? You've also broken the first rule of Fight Club.

Maximillion (Death by betrayal) Tumblr_lvu0mkAkik1r67p3vo1_500

Telepathy doesn't work that way. The only instances we've seen in Hellsing are absorbing memories by drinking blood.

What's going on in those samples? Are you writing it as a different character? Why's he taking some job to attack a weapon factory and who are his comrades?

It looks like all the active staff have weighed in, and the concensus is "Approved".

Can I get an Official "Yes" here, please?

patience is a virtue. I suggest that you don't rush people otherwise they will be more inclined to make a decision that you wouldn't like. And also don't just assume because 2 staff members who are on rather frequently voted, that all the staff is inactive.
