PostSubject: Mall of Mallishness   Mall of Mallishness EmptyThu Aug 01, 2013 7:38 pm

The call came in half an hour ago. Gun-toting psychopaths were attacking a mall, reports of them eating parts of the corpses making the situation even more disturbing. Most people would simply think of random domestic terrorists, but Hellsing knew better than that. By the time they could respond, the entire mall would be devoid of life. However, the attackers were still inside and preparing to continue attack on another location.

There are ten vampires inside, all D level, armed with Enfield EM-2 rifles, twenty 0.28in rounds per magazine with three extras. In four rounds, Ghouls will spawn out of the 214 dead bodies inside the mall.

Mall of Mallishness Shopping_mall_Babilonas_layout

Two vampires are stationed in the toy department, "ironically" playing with things. Three are standing guard in the vicinity of the northwest entrance. One is guarding the north entrance by the movie theater, tempted to see what is playing. Another is at the west entrance. Two are in the electronics department. The last are in the furniture store.

Ben didn´t even have time to change his pants. One mission was complete, but while they were in the car to drive back home the next call was devoted to them- a vampire attack in a shopping mall. A horrorshow with hundreds of civilian casulties and at least ten heavily armed vampires.
While the first mission made him feel uneasy, this one sent a chill down his spine.
"Alright, so... just to recap, we go in through the east entrance, right...? And then we´ll sweep the stores one by one, as quickly as possible to eliminate the enemy vampires so that the ghouls are destroyed and no new ones can be made..."
A simple plan, and simple was ususally good. Having restocked his previously spent magazine, Ben got out of the car in the parking lot behind the shopping center- the only unattended entrance was from the east, so thats where they were headed.
"....Maia... i... i got a bad feeling about this one."
He admitted, gripping his Sterling and taking it out, racking the action shakingly.

Sneaking in through the eastern entrance Maia was nervous, it wasn’t like her to be like this yet here was a big mission. Ten opponents were tough, even with Ben there to help it would be difficult. “Yep, we had just enough time to restock ammo it seems” she got out of the car and made her way towards the eastern entrance, beckoning the boy to follow her. She had her Beowulf ready, they had an idea of what it looked like inside.

“So as soon as we enter get into the Electronics store and see what we can find, keep quiet and try not to stay in one place too long alright?” Maia entered; slowly opening the door with to find it gave off no noise. She handed him a spare pair of her goggles, “for the tear gas if we use it,” she whispered to him. She entered slowly, cutting off into the Electronics store as soon as she could. She ducked behind a shelf, the vampires were near.

(OOC) 1 round! Ha! Ha! Ha!

"So, then what you do?"

"I ate him, bitch. What do you think I did?"

Both vampires patrolled the store, knocking over random blenders and speakers as they strolled by. Neither was aware of the two that had just entered. With the scent of death all about, their smell wouldn't register as anything but normal. The closer they got, though, the more likely it would be for them to notice any sounds they made.

By the time they were in the electronics store, Ben had extended the buttstock of his Sterling, holding it by the front end like a rifle- with so many potential targets, ammo was short, so he had to make each shot count.
As they entered, it was easy to tell where the villans were- they were the only ones left alive to make noises. And they made a lot of them, talking, bumping into things, causing property damage on purpose... seemed like they were talking about their victims.
With Maia right beside him, Ben took point by resting his gun on a shelf, inbetween two presented computer towers... the laser dot of his sight rested on the back of the first vampire´s head, nothing to obstruct it in the way- he forced himself to calm down, exhaled, pressed the trigger and watched the bullet leave the barrel- by the time it was halfway across the room though he went back into hiding as fast as he could, hoping they might not spot him yet.
Not checking if the shot made its mark, he gave Maia a hand signal to keep moving as they were aware of their presence now, most likely.

Maia moved back slightly as Ben gave her a signal, she gave a little nod of approval at his actions. He’d done it quickly, quietly and didn’t make a huge deal out of it. So as she came back into cover her M16 came up, she drew a line of sight to the Vampire that had not been shot at yet and took a single shot at his chest. She then pulled right back out of view before he had a chance to spot her. This was going to be interesting, that was to say the least. The Boy made a promising start I must admit

(OOC) 2 rounds! Ha! Ha! Ha!

The first shot was fired, both vampires hearing the bang as the bullet left the gun. Both sped around corners, the second shot missing its mark just as the first. The man guarding the north entrance heard the guns, sprinting over to the store and smashing through the door. All three were aware they were no longer alone. As luck would have it (for the Hellsing agents, at least) no one had radios, so there was no way to warn the others. No matter; they'd make short work of whoever decided it was a clever plan to attack a bunch of armed vampires.

(OOC) Apparently, first one is supersonic, so he's dead. Second is fine, though.

Still uncertain about his kill, Ben spun around to notice the doors crashing open- he ducked down in order to avoid detection, while sticking close to Maia. They would have to rely to hand signals in order to stay undetected.
A hand to the left, he gave her an idication they should head there, a long way to the other end of the store... movement to the right, near one of the racks full of computer mice.
Ben raised his gun and fired twice, but it was impossible to tell if he struck the faint shadow that flashed by. Reminding himself to keep the gun silent until they knew where the hostiles were and until they would stay still, he-

There! One of them stopped to look at him, grinning perversely with a mouth full of dried blood, which he responded to by firing two rounds at his chest.

Maia kept down as Ben fired at the one she missed, slinging her M16 on her back the Jew got her SAIGA off from her back. Maia crawled along; they were distracted with looking for the source of Ben’s shots. She got a vantage point to the one that had just entered the store; he was getting closer and was only around two table tops of computers away. So with a lick of her lips she jumped up and fired two slugs at the Vampire’s chest, as soon as she fired she ducked. Waiting for her opponents to make the next move, she grinned at Ben with a quick thumb up.

(OOC) 3.

The vampire spotting the boy let out a good ten bullets before ducking behind a shelf to avoid the two fired at him. The other, alerted to the presence of the girl quite a bit before the actual firing by the unneeded jump, easily avoid both of those shots. Knowing where she would be upon landing, he shot all twenty bullets in a sweeping motion through the shelf she'd ducked down from.

Ben leaped to the side to avoid the return fire, a light shell shock thumping in his mind- this was the first time he was actually -getting shot at-, literally. This wasn`t a drill. Those weren`t exersize rounds. These guys weren`t pretending.
God damn my life.
He got back up, hiding behind the shelf he was on and noticed the vampire that was firing at Maia- he had just blown through his entire magazine, so Ben had a good chance of hitting him now- a three round burst came from his gun, aimed for the center of his chest.

Moving to the side out of the way of spray of badly placed bullets wasn't too hard, they were random and it was simply the case of throwing herself flat on the floor for a second, Maia then ran to shoot the one that had ducked. The other Vampire would now be out of ammo, so she could show her back to him for this. She span around the aisle to wear the Vampire had been firing at Ben; her SAIGA came up and fired two shots straight towards his chest. Due to the position he was in dodging wouldn't be easy, the aisles would be problematic.

(OOC) 4. Big O! Show time!

That was unpleasant. He was thinking much more vulgar words, but that was essentially the gist of what the vampire was communicating as he was being shot. One bullet missed, another hitting him in the left arm, and the third cutting through his chest. These bullets hurt a lot more than they should. Silver, maybe? Whatever. He had to heal, though, so after a quick reload, he pulled himself to a corner to try and stop bleeding.

The other, having plenty of time to notice the girl, easily dodged the bullets coming towards him. Responding in turn, he shot five of his own at her, aimed at the legs and stomach. Deciding that a few bullets weren't anything to worry about, he cut around through another aisle after he finished, going to attack her from behind.

Meanwhile, the bodies began to move. It was Ghouls. Definitely Ghouls. Several were inside the store themselves, shambling to their feet and clumsily recognizing who to begin attacking.

(OOC) Only 184 Ghouls are spawned now.

Thankfully for Ben, the unhurt vampire was focusing his fire on Maia- who was probably more than competent enough to handle him.
Ben had a score to settle with the other, bleeding one.
Hopping onto one of the shelves, he croutched down on top of it- from up here, he couldn`t hide, Ben could see him clearly, no matter where he fled to. Two bullets left the Sterling aimed for his chest, a third one driven upwards by the recoil and was aimed for his neck and a fourth one was aimed at his head.

Then, in the corner of his eye, Ben saw something moving. Something that shouldn`t be moving. A corpse- its gorged out eyes glowing purple, the skin grey as ash- without a word he lowered his gun towards the pitful creature and gave off a shot into its head, a second one into the ghoul next to it.
Ben then jumped off of the shelf to reload, there was only one bullet left in the chamber, so he hid himself behind one of the shelves to insert a new mag- racking the action was unnecessary as the gun was still loaded.

Dodging the shots Maia jumped over the aisle as he cut through, trying to somehow get her from behind. She went for his side as he ran, going to kick the butt of the gun so as to take it out of his hands. Maia pulled out her butterfly knife, with the speed and precision of the blessed weapon she aimed for a quick stab in the throat.

(OOC) Since he was only beginning to attack and had yet to make any action, I can only conclude that you've decided to run at him yourself. 149 left.

Taking all semblance of cover out of the equation, the injured vampire saw Ben before he'd arrived to kill him. He shot wildly, getting about thirteen bullets at the boy before he was taken out.

The five Ghouls left (one had disintegrated upon the death of the second vampire) swarmed Ben, seeing him as the biggest threat with no one to attack, mental commands from the other vampire having no small part in directing them. Seeing the woman run at him made him smile as he fired the last five bullets at her, the weapon stopping before he wanted it to. No matter, considering it was knocked from him moments later. Using the extra time needed to draw and open the knife, he dodged the strike, feeling strangely uneasy around it. It didn't matter, either, as he went to grab her arms and bite down on the female's jugular vein.

The others could no longer ignore the sounds of violence. The three at the door began to proceed towards the area, sending a wave of fourty Ghouls with them.

(OOC) Vampires and 10 Ghouls show up next post. 10 more every post after until they get to 40.

Two grazes on his arm, one on his thigh, and a harsh impact on his body armor- that was the result of the vampire´s last struggle.
Ben had finished reloading by the time the gouls snuck up on him, but as they were slow, dense targets that didn`t think about dodging, it was just like in target practice- he fired at two of them, their heads being his target, in order to escape the swarm, running ahead- then as he was out of their range, he finished off the other three with three aimed shots through his red dot scope.

The smell of blood was in the air. The noise of teeth piercing skin. Ben nearly dropped his gun as he realized what that was.
"Maia..."

"When we get back, lets finish our sparring." His words echoed in his mind, and a switch clicked. Ignoring everything else, he ran as fast as he could towards Maia`s last location, looking for her there- to see a vampire attempting to bite into her neck- it must´ve at least grazed her skin, because the smell of her blood was strong in the air.
He was distracted by the extasy of her blood. He was dangerous, but he was distracted.
Ben felt anger. Rage, and terror mixing inside him, as he tucked out his knife in a microsecond and ran towards the vampire. Reminding himself of his mistake in their practice session earlier, he dropped to the ground before he got into his range and attempted to kick the vampire´s legs away, jerking the knife upward to ram it into his heart when he would fall.

the Vampire was about give off the shots, Maia was in range to merely knock the gun’s barrel aside with the SAIGA’s butt in her left hand as the shots started to fire. But as the Vampire took a hold of her she panicked a little, she forgot about finesse and merely decided to head butt the Vampire to stop his bite. Maia used her forehead to try and hit him in the side of his head and get the ear, but while doing this her knee went up to hit his more vulnerable groin. Striking with her vampire strength in two quick strong movements, if they connected he would be hard pressed to cause anyone harm.

The bite went as planned, blood spewing onto his face and into his mouth. His ear was certainly a bother, but it was of no concern. Neither was the pathetic attempt to knee him, which he only needed to block with his own leg. He drank, but was interrupted by the weak boy. He tore a large chunk of flesh with him as he fell onto the knife. "Balls!" was the last thing he said.

The other three entered the store, followed by ten Ghouls. "I'm Buck, and I'm here to party," the lead said, the undead minions shambling into the building and towards the smell of fresh blood.

Holy shit. This actually worked.
Staring at his knife for a second, he sheathed it again and put the Sterling away, taking the EM-2 from the ground instead- these Ghouls would merely waste their ammo if they kept killing them like this. Who knew how many more there were... and how many vampires they had left to kill. From a croutch, he did a quick tactical reload by snatching two of the magazines from the dead vampire, knocking the old magazine out and clipping the new one in its place- the remaining mag went into the space between his belt and his pants for now. Ben fired the magazine into the arriving ghouls till it clicked dry.
"Maia..? Are you.... can you walk?" Asking her if she was okay would merely piss her off, and asking her if everything was alright would just be stupid. So he went with this, taking a quick glance to confirm that she was in fact alive, and not seriously wounded.
"Come on, we gotta get out of this store. This wide open space isn`t good for us anymore."
Retreating back into the hallway or behind the backdrops was going to be their salvation... with the ghouls and the vampires coming in from the front, Ben went for the back, the employee rooms, where they could hopefully find a way to circle round and attack them from the back. Or at least they`d have them pinned down in the doorway.
Rifle in his right hand, he took her hand with his left- which sent a tingle through him, an electric spark almost, but he didn`t care, he just wanted to get out of this crazy situation where both of them might end up dead soon.
Tugging her towards the back of the store, he kicked down the door to the staff rooms in the southwest of the electonics store and went inside- according to the floorplan, this was either gonna lead them to the food store or the corridor, but either way he`d like it there better than here.

Maia looked down at the Vampire as he fell, she felt some of her flesh get ripped away but overall the damage wasn't too bad. For the most part she had been lucky and the Vampire hadn't ripped that much away with him, she got some satisfaction from his last words. The bite had been strong, leaving her neck was covered in her own blood. She pulled her neck away when he opened his mouth to speak; but she couldn't get right up and was merely dragged along by the rookie. “I’m fine kid, if I had died then no loss, who would miss an old bitch like me?” she asked as she pulled out a tear gas grenade, as he took her hand she slung her gun and went with him to the back. But just as they got into the staff room the vampires arrived.

So she pulled the pin off with her teeth and threw the gas grenade, it headed for just in the middle of the vampires and the ghouls. Just before it landed it let out the ghastly cloud, the gas streamed into the eyes and noses and went for the open mouth of the leader. As they left the shop floor she closed the door after her, so as to stop the gas from getting to them

A few of the Ghouls fell to the remaining bullets from their comrade's gun. It hardly put a dent in their overall numbers, though, since more arrived to replace the ones lost. The grenade was shot by one of the others, knocking it away. Aside from a small cloud, it wouldn't be much of a problem for the length of time they wanted to be in the store. The Ghouls advanced on the door, clawing and biting at the entrance to keep the two inside. The vampire, having already explored this area, knew where they could turn up. Most likely, they'd be trying to cut through the wall inside the back room and escape into another section of the mall. The vampires exited the store, avoiding the expanding cloud of gas, sprinting into the closest door and looking around. Demolishing whatever walls where in their way, they wanted to be able to cut them off whenever they tried to pass. The other Ghouls were mentally commanded to change course and back them up there, rather than in the electronics shop.

"Maia... are you sure you`re alright? That wound is pretty deep."
Ben asked, making his way through the staff rooms with her- eventually he thought she`d fall over the next moment, so he pulled over to one of the staff`s restrooms- a man`s one, and took a break.
No sane person would look for a heavily armed commando in a restroom, not right away. They had a bit of time before they could proceed... still, Ben was keeping it quiet, whipsering what he had to say.
"Here, take some of mine." He said, resting her arm on his shoulder to aid her, holding it tight while the other arm was uncovered and held in front of her face. "Bite down. It´ll help... i don´t want to survive this without you, Maia."
He really didn´t want to be alone in this hellhole. His other wounds were healed, all the grazes were gone, so he could really just offer her to make a new one.

Maia leant against Ben in the confines of the restroom, she felt weak and with him offering blood she was in no position to say no. “Your concern is touching Ben, but we can’t stay here for too long.” She licked her lips and bit down, using her fangs to puncture some holes while she sucked out the sweet nectar like blood. She kept her mouth pressed up against his arm for half a minute, her tongue lapping up the blood as it seeped out of him. She felt her strength return and not wanting to drain him she forced herself to stop; her mouth was covered in a little blood.

She licked it off and with a nod she whispered, “thank you, I feel stronger already.” The wound was looking a little smaller. Maia smiled and dragged herself out with some unsteadiness still in her step, they had to get out. She let Ben take the lead and prepared to go through the ghouls with heavy handedness, "Come on Ben we can't do anything here, there's too many and we can't die here"

They could smell the blood, but couldn't figure out from where. The scent of guns was everywhere, so it was proving difficult to pick the two out. They were close, though; that was certain. More Ghouls arrived as the vampires continued to smash everything in sight, hoping to draw them out. Two of them started to shoot through the walls, hoping to get lucky. They each emptied about nine bullets apiece in a spray to the sides and front of where they stood.

Hearing the guns start to fire and the bullets start to fly, Ben didn´t respond to her but pushed her down, dragging her along in a croutched position as he hurried back to the wall where he saw a window earlier. If retreat was the only option, then he would stick to Maia´s plan- she was older, more experienced and probably more intelligent than he was- he was just a rookie afterall. They had killed three vampires and a bunch of ghouls, but everytime they did there were more coming- and now Maia was badly injuried. He didn´t want her to die, and he knew he couldn´t do this alone, so the only thing he could do was keep his head down and run.

The noise of the gunfire was deafening to the point where it hurt his ears, running would be completely drowned out- so they ran, Ben never letting go of her arm, until he came to the staff room where the salesmen were having their break- a nice window with some shutters was there, but the shutters were shot down by a burst of fully automatic fire from his EM-2 rifle... the buttstock then broke the window, and with the shutters covering the splintered edges of the windowframe, he vaulted outside, landing in a roll on the pavement of the driveway.

Maia growled lightly as he pushed her down, though as the gunfire washed over her she begrudgingly realised that it was the smart thing to do. His concern was touching to an extent and the Jewish lady felt herself warm to him as he dragged her along, it was hard to be cold towards someone who seemingly cared. But that wouldn’t stop Maia trying to be distant, friendship was something that made people weak and it would get the boy killed if he didn’t check himself. As they went through into the backroom she sighed, it was good to be getting out alive but she felt dishonoured and a little sullied.
She nodded as he jumped out and went out the window after him, though not very gracefully. She landed on her feet and almost fell over onto all fours, but managed to stay up. “Not too shabby in there, don’t let running away get to you kid because if you want to live a long unlife you’ll end up doing a lot of that”

Ben brushed himself off and took a good hard look at himself- a piercing hole in his vest ending with a bent piece of steel, ripped pieces of his uniform, blood stuck to it.. yeah, this was a little bit of hell right there.
"I suppose... the road to strength is plastered with weaknesses, huh?"
They never expected this much resistance.. he´d have to reconsider a few things if he would continue doing his job like this.
Still, for today, they lived to fight another day.
Patting her shoulder once, he sighed and moved over to the car that was still parked nearby.
