*Premise*:Sometimes it would see that the hunter is the hunted. In this case, Teatime has made quite the name for himself in your organization as a marked target. Noone honestly knows what he is by the way he strikes, he could have been mistaken for a vampire with just how bloody he left a scene, but no bite marks were ever left. You received word that this assassin would be at a masquerade ball but no description of what he looked like. You would have to wait for the sounds of murder and the scent of blood. You are on the guest list under an assumed name, as is he.

It was a fairly bright day outside at this estate. Such an awkward time for a big event like this. Antebellum houses like this were hard to find in America, but this one was done up with the full deal. Beautiful hedges and a brick fence. It was all crisp and clean. There was a large oak tree on the left side of the yard and an ornate fountain on the right. A winding driveway went around them both and led to a set of stairs where two men stood checking the invitations and the guest lists.

Inside Teatime was in his typical cloak and had a mask covering his face and his curls were tucked under a bald cap. He made his way around the party without a problem, weaving in and out between the people in attendance. He would cut in here and there for a short burst of dance to seem jovial but he never spoke unless he was asking where the master of the estate was. The answer was always the same, he would arrive at noon on the dot.

Teatime took to maneuvering around in the crowd, his arms moving at a quick pace underneath his cloak to get his guns loaded and prepped in case this turned into fun. Three minutes til the grand reveal.

OOC: Weapons present on his person:
1x 12gauge sawed off double barrel shotgun
2x .44 Magnums
2x Barrettas with silencers.
Knives galor

Gaius was finding this latest prey boring. Dances weren't his thing but he'd been invited here by a man that wanted him dead. It was the only chance he had to find the assassin and confront him. It would be far safer. He only had his combat knife on him. Otherwise an assault rifle was too hard to hide upon his person.

Everyone at the party was happy. He heard the beating of raised heartbeats and the smell of sweat seemed to permeate Gaius. It was disgusting to say the least. He heard the sound of chuckles as a man moved in to fondle the woman he was dancing with, that was one thing the ex-soldier would never understand. Why did people find companionship so necessary?
But none of that mattered now. He listened, off to his left there was someone whose heartbeat didn't beat in time with everyone else.
Curious he thought, it meant something. He wasn't like the others. He might blend in on the outside but on the inside he didn't.

"Amateur" he muttered darkly, Gaius moved around the marble dance floor. He was aiming to come up from behind the man, he readied his Garrotte wire, )which was simply a small steel cable) he'd picked up from an electronic supplies store before making his way to the party.

It was about a meter and a half long and two centimeters thick. Gaius Moved behind his opponent. With his training in covert operations and the music. His footsteps dropped below his range of hearing. The music had some advantages besides interfering with his 'vision'
preparing his hands sprang forwards trying to wrap the wire around the mans neck. While Gaius tried kicking him in the back of the knee.

'Soon it will be time to kill, the people were completely ignorant of the- Oh geeze!' he thought before a wire presented itself in front of his eyes for a brief moment. His right hand freed itself of the shotgun and shot up to the wire and caught it as it began to close around his neck. . Within a few seconds he had twisted and pulled the thick wire away from his neck attempting to pull the assailant forwards as he threw his head backwards in an attempt to land a reverse headbutt on his attacker.

His knee buckled under the kick but he was quick to reunite his left hand with one of his many silver coated daggers which was quickly drawn and blindly being swiped behind him in anger and pure rage. He stayed silent and graceful during this, attempting to minimize the chances of losing his mark. This would make a very difficult mark to do with due elegance, indeed.

Dropping the Garrote wire Gaius grabbed the mans hand, Silver. He realized stepping backwards, he reached out and tried grabbing the mans wrist. His hand pushed upwards twisting it and pulled it towards him while his free left hand grabbed his combat knife and it flicked out towards the small of the mans back in a quick flowing movement.
"Hehe, you're not too bad" Gaius said with meaning. It wasn't often he came across people with reactions as good as this mans was.

One minute until the grand reveal and people were now starting to pay attention. The area was starting to clear around them, but the target might still appear if no shots were fired. He twisted and let go of the wire before he began to roll to the side like an alligator after taking a minor cut to his side in his quick sprawl. He began to call out for help. "Help! There is a crazy in here! He is insane and trying to kill me!" Maybe if he got him kicked out he could still get his mark.

A few people advanced to attempt to help, but they were a bit put off by the wild rolling and the spinning knife that might slice the assailant's wrist with that cursed metal if he wasn't careful. They seemed to take some pity on Teatime, at least, the ones that didn't see his cloak full of goodies. First chance he got, he would scoot back into the crowd and gather himself if he was given the chance.

Gaius didn't pay much attention to the crowd, they simply got in the way of things. Yet that didn't matter now, Gaius heard the music stop as people turned their attention to the two men fighting. Getting a grip on the other man's wrist Gaius put all his strength into his hand. He was going to crush it, trying to get on top of the assassin so he could use his weight. Gaius pressed down on the mans limbs with his own.

Smiling the werewolf went straight for his throat, he could feel some of the transformation coming on. His teeth grew sharper as his jaw went to close around his preys jugular in a deadly bite..

Being that he was spinning he pushed his wrist to the limit before it stopped on its own, refusing to move and further. His only free hand brought his silenced Beretta flying out of his cloak and attempted to plug it into the wolf's horrid maw as he began to fire as soon as the mercury filled bullets were even close to on point to hit him. "The last dog I dealt with I nailed to the ceiling."

His legs were pinned and his wrist was about a slip away from breaking god forbid this didn't work, those people weren't about to help at all with a wolf thing being involved.

Hearing the swish of Fabric as the assassin drew out a gun from his cloak Gaius sent his left hand straight towards the assassins face he was going to use his strength to try and knock him unconscious. His fist was a blur. Going towards the assassins gun hand Gaius gripped the barrel pushing it away from his head. It burned with heat but to Gaius pain was nothing. None of it mattered except victory. Trying to rip the gun away the ex spatsnaz tried to throw it out of the assassins reach.

His hand snapped up to grab the assassins free hand. He was going to break him.

Gaius pulled his hands tight, trying with a massive effort to not only break the wrist but shatter the bones within.

Teatime was not above cheap tricks. His will was not to be broken, and this was just fun. Fuel for the fire, the appetizer before the main course. Teatime slipped one of his legs out from the bootish grip of the dog man and he sent a wicked knee right for his testicles, which he intended to hit rapidly a few times in succession. Even beasts had a weak point, males more so, and Teatime, having embraced his inner child was willing to stoop low.

His twisted wrist shattered and he was now furious. He sent his masked face forward for a hard headbutt on the man and would attempt to flip the tables and land on top of his assailant. He managed to grasp onto the assassin's other arm, but Teatime may be able to twist out of it if it suited him.

Feeling the pain of the first kick Gaius couldn't block it all out. It seared through him. But he was still able to move. In his humanoid wolf form Gaius brought his feet up and tried kicking down onto the assassin. He was going to try and make sure he couldn't move.

Gaius opened his muzzle and tried mauling Teatime as the headbutt came up towards him. Slamming his arms down against the floor he was going to make sure Teatime couldn't let go of his arms by pinning them down. His fangs were bared as they went straight for the neck and face.

This was getting bad, the mark was gone by now, seen the scuffle and fled. Now Teatime was angry. With the adrenaline pumping through his veins, he gave a cry of vigor as his mask was cracked by the headbutt meeting the fangs and then shattered by him blocking those dreadful fangs. You could see right into his one blank eye and the other one, fixated in rage. It was obvious the cog's were turning.

Teatime managed to rip his not so broken hand from the wolf man's grip, suffering major lacerations and breaking his thumb in the process, but not a thing was felt for now, adrenaline was beautiful. He reached under the beast and into his coat and regardless of his own safety began to fire his sawed off shotgun through his cloak, a bit of it lodged in his own shoulder as the scatter shot blast went off, mercury melting into his body and absorbing. He may need serious help after this.

Trying to throw himself aside Gaius felt shrapnel bury in his left arm, it didn't register on the pain scale though. The werewolf threw himself at his top speed around to the assassins left side. There was some damage to his fangs, that put him in a bad mood, the combat knife came out once more. It slashed out towards the top of Teatime's head.
He wasn't going to play anymore he was using every last ounce of speed he had.

Teatime had an idea and burst into movement, rolling out of the way of the knife and over his shattered arm. He shook off the awful pain and found himself on his feet running at break neck speed away from the Werewolf and towards a pillar on the other side of the large room undoing his cloak with his only hand. He knew the bald cap had flown off his head and a trickle of wet liquid down his neck alerted him that his head had caught some damage from the knife.

He, tossing one glance behind him to see if the werewolf was following him. He would slow his pace to just where the werewolf may catch him and let his cloak fly. Should the werewolf have followed him, Teatime would vanish from sight at this moment as the cloak billowed off and blocked view.

A loud noise was heard as confetti flew down and spotlights presented themselves at a point on the floor. Some ignorant obnoxious fool announced "Now presenting the host for the evening, Lord Volfenshire." The mark was now present... fashionably late. This was just irritating, but Teatime had a job to do, no doubt he would go after the man.

Lord Volfenshire didn't matter to Gaius, he was a stranger and was more than irrelevant to the mission. The only thing that mattered was taking down the man that was trying to kill him. Cutting into the crowd to try and get another surprise on Teatime the ex soldier made sure to collect his garrotte wire.
Should come in handy he thought making his way to go around the back of the assassin, Making his way around the crowd packed staircase towards the pillar the assassin stood in front of Gaius chuckled slightly. He was thinking like he was fighting against someone that relied on eyes. He'd still be able to 'see' him even if he was going to use the cloak to obscure him. A costly Mistake

Gaius went behind another of the pillars, he wasn't going to win this in his humanoid form. He was going to take on his opponent as a wolf. Feeling his fangs grow in sharpness and slightly in size Gaius felt ecstatic. His senses and strength was improved greatly like this, he was sure that it would be enough. He had to, the fight might be decided from the next few moments.

The band picked up as Lord Volfenshire made his way down the stairs. It dimmed Gaius's vision slightly but it more than made up fr it by obscuring his footsteps. Running towards the assassins right side the werewolf opened his jaw and when straight for the assassins shoulder.

OOC- Because Gaius doesn't rely on sight, but sound instead obscuring yourself with the cloak won't stop him from knowing where you've gone to

OOC- Noted, but things will be rectified.

Teatime had used the shadows to obfuscate his quick moves. His scent at this point would render a trail forward then in an awkward fashion back to Lord Volfenshire. The assassin's new blood mixed with the older blood present on him made up his aroma of death. The mixture began to blend in with that of alcohol and an undershade of coffee beans, sandalwood, and ink. The fucker had appeared behind Lord Volfenshire on the other side of the room.

The assassin drew his knife prompty and gave a scanning glance over the crowd. No one but the astonished and dissipating crowd. His paranoia gave way and he wrapped his arm around Volfenshire's neck and gave pressure with his knife right where his Jugular should be before ripping it aroound as he threw himself behind the man and kicked him into the awaiting dogma... and dog maw in this case.

At this point after his human shield had departed, his knife was at the ready, ready for anything... hopefully.
