Heinkel Wolfe Empty
PostSubject: Heinkel Wolfe   Heinkel Wolfe EmptySat Mar 03, 2012 1:25 pm

Name:
Heinkel Farahilde Wolfe [Named in part after her mother Farahilde (meaning both travel and battle)]

Age:
25, born February 6th 1979 (Vatican City)

Gender:
Female, though her choice of dress and behavior have given rise to a great number of rumors to the contrary.

Physical Appearance:

Standing at five feet eleven inches and weighing in at a healthy 145 pounds, Heinkel Wolfe presents a powerful image as a young woman in the prime of her life and at the peak of physical healthy. Possessing next to no real body fat, Wolfe’s body is a temple of lean, toned muscle and pale Caucasian skin marred only by a few telltale scars from exploits long ago. At present, she has a total of nine notable scars spread across her body, a surprisingly low number compared to most in Iscariot and thus a testament in and of itself to her fearsome skill at her profession. Three scars are visible on her upper right arm, two being grazes and the third being the faded memory of the tunnel a stray 9mm bore through her shoulder in a chaotic gunfight early in her career. Two more scars are present on her left arm. The first, a small knife wound across the outside of her left forearm received during the deflection of a terrorist’s knife in Belgium. The second is yet another grazed gunshot, subtly showing an early tendency of hers to dodge to the left in order to guard her heart as opposed to her right arm and shoulder. The sixth scar is located in the palm of her right hand resulting from a sword thrust courtesy of Yumie Takagi herself, the blade having passed straight through the hand and luckily missing the bone as Heinkel instinctively attempted to deflect it as a child. The seventh and eight scars are also bullet wounds, though a bit more substantial than the others as they did not pass through clean and thus had to be removed. They are located on her left thigh and hip respectively. The ninth and final scar is on the right nape of her neck, almost unnoticeable except to those looking for one, it was given to her by a knife wielded by first vampire she ever encountered. For a more general overview of her physique, her measurements are 34-25-35.

Moving on to her face, the most eye-catching feature is without a doubt her mess of light blond hair worn in a relatively short bob cut which, in conjunction with her normal manner of dress, do much to create the speculation and rumor on her gender. Reaching down to her eyebrows in front and tapering to break at her collar in back, Heinkel’s haircut is really only set apart by the odd locks she has left rather long in comparison on either side. Though some often compare them to masculine sideburns, their true intent is to create a more complete frame for Heinkel’s face, a secret defense mechanism employed by Wolfe herself as protection from her own guilt and insecurities regarding her life and profession. Her eyes are of a bright green, much like her mentor and father figure’s, though they do not carry the same spark of passion that Alexander’s do. Rather, they appear almost foggy in many situations, a fact augmented by the presence of her dark sunglasses at all hours of the day. Accompanying this, her other facial features are rather soft and rounded though tempering to subtle yet distinct points at the chin and cheekbones. Her forehead is somewhat high, traditionally believed to be a sign of intelligence, and her ears are ever so slightly larger than average. Secretly self-conscious about each of these traits, Heinkle’s hairstyle thankfully helps hide both of them to her peers.

A self-confessed “tomboy” at heart, Heinkel keeps her nails cut short and spends no time on what she considers pointless exercised such as painting her nails of applying excessive daily makeup. That being said, once in a blue moon orders are orders and she may find herself unable to skirt her way around presenting herself in a more feminine manner. However, even in these situations she uses only the absolute minimum in “beauty products” for a more natural, genuine look and defers to more knowledgeable individuals such as Yumiko Takagi. Despite her apparent disinterest in femininity, Heinkel does not ignore cleanliness and as such her teeth are well maintained, both white and straight though one of her lower left molars is actually an artificial replacement.

Clothing of Choice:

Heinkel Wolfe is something of an anomaly in the Roman Catholic Church in that she chooses to reject the traditional dress and habit of Catholic nuns in favor of the clerics worn by the priesthood on everyday occasions. Normally, this would be totally unacceptable but in light of the more open mindset instituted by Vatican Council II, and far more importantly her standing within the somewhat renegade Iscariot Organization as a field operative, she has been given certain liberties for her daily duties and missions. That being said, those privileges do not extend to mass or other formal occasions at which her attendance is required. Going from the bottom up, we begin with the shoes. Like all members of Iscariot Wolfe’s foot ware is matte black and, in her particular case, consists of leather boots extending just past her ankles. Though plain in appearance, the boots are secretly steel-toed and their dark grey soles offer excellent traction. As is proper with the attire, Heinkel wears them with full length, black, athletic socks to maintain both a somewhat formal appearance and practicality.

Next are the pants. Tailored to fit her specifically, Wolfe’s black slacks comfortably hug her waist and hips (24 and 35 respectively as previously stated) and taper elegantly down her long legs before finally breaking at the shoe. The slacks are pleated and cuffed at the ankle, being woven from a cotton-polymer they are warm and durable yet soft and comfortable. Standard in almost every way, not much else need be said on this article of clothing save the presence of belt loops which (I hope you would guess) necessitates a belt. In Wolfe’s case, she wears a solid black belt made from Italian leather with a polished brass buckle.

Moving on to the upper body, Heinkel’s profession requires the presence of multiple layers. As is standard with other (male) members of Iscariot, Heinkel wears a black cleric top complete with clerical collar. Unlike most of the Iscariot members however, Heinkel’s clerics have gold accents as opposed to the bland grey most have. Another important difference, though rarely noticed due to the presence of her cassock, is the fact that Heinkel’s cleric is sleeveless. On top of her clerical shirt is a long cassock reaching down to her mid-calf. Following the example set by her mentor, Heinkel never actually buttons the cassock, instead wearing it as something of a trench coat. The tail of the cassock is split into two tails which have a tendency to billow from below the waist giving a cape-like impression. The cassock itself is predominately black with gold accents and buttons matching the clerics she wears beneath it. Another trait setting Heinkel apart from her peers is the lining of her coat which is a vibrant, royal purple instead of dark grey. The cassock has four pockets of its’ own; two located at the hips and another two on the interior of the breast. Lastly, Heinkel wears a high grade ballistics vest beneath her clerics to serve as protection against errant bullets (a lesson she learned quite well after her mishaps early in her career). The vest does not utilize the traditional large ballistics plates often seen in similar products but rather, many small, overlapping circular plates which allow for mush greater flexibility without sacrificing much in the way of overall protection. Officially classified as a Type III protection, the vest is capable of withstanding shots from most light to medium caliber handgun rounds as well as a variety of rifle rounds. That being said, as with all ballistic vests, stopping the bullet only does so much to prevent injury. As such, the flexibility offered by the vest is a great blessing as it allows Wolfe the mobility needed to properly evade in combat.

An example of the ballistic vest type worn by Heinkel:
Spoiler:

Finally we come to the assorted accessories worn by Sister Wolfe on a normal basis. Worn prominently around her neck is a silver cross identical in appearance to those worn by every member of the Iscariot Organization. The cross is silver in color with a light indenture graving. Despite its’ color, the treatment and age of the metal can cause it to give off a gold sheen in the proper lighting. Next are her gloves which vary between two sets depending on the location of her missions. Her main pair is white in color with synched cuffs. Made from a strong yet breathable composite, they are rather plain and fit the common Iscariot norm though they do not bear the messages written Father Anderson’s. The second pair is worn only in warmer, more arid environments to prevent unwanted sweat which would detract from her grip while gun fighting. Double stitched from black leather, they are fingerless SAP gloves meaning that additional padding is present over each knuckle filled with lead BBs to add substantial power to punches while protecting the hand. Unlike the unadorned white gloves she normally wears, Heinkel’s fingerless gloves have a golden cross design sewn onto the back for stylistic reasons. This brings us to the final article of clothing in Heinkel’s daily uniform and her signature accessory; her sunglasses. With black metal frames and circular lenses, at a glance Heinkel’s glasses could pose for any other member of Iscariot’s. However, in yet another way to differentiate herself from the crowd, Wolfe had the lenses replaces with darkened versions to hide her eyes. Worn at almost all times, Heinkel has grown so used to them by now that they pose no issue of visibility even at night leaving no real reason for her to remove them while on assignment. While central to her style, they pose an emotional attachment to her as well. Just as her partner Yumie’s personality is shaped by the presence of her glasses, Heinkel utilizes hers as a way to shut out doubts or emotional conflict during her missions and better cope by dehumanizing herself.

Weaponry of choice:

As a master hunter of vampires and the assorted undead, Heinkel utilizes a wide assortment of blessed weaponry in her battles with the supernatural. Her primary weapons are a pair of heavily customized pistols, tailored to her specifications by Father Marco Renaldo, master gunsmith and craftsman of the Iscariot organization and close confidant of Enrico Maxwell himself. Originally based on the SIG Sauer GSR, Heinkel’s twin guns (dubbed Veritas and Aquinas respectively) have undergone numerous alterations and improvements included the extension of the barrels (from the factory standard up to 8 inch long slides), the inclusion of custom fit combat grips, additional reinforcement to the frame, and chrome plating.

In addition to the barrels, both the front sight and trigger guard on each gun has been enlarged significantly. While the larger front sight goes mainly towards Heinkel’s fighting style (the larger sights making aiming two weapons simultaneously much easier) the increase in the size of the trigger guard is twofold. First, it established a stylish gothic theme for the weapons as per Heinkel’s request against an overly plain firearm. Second, the larger trigger guard is molded down a longer section of the underside of the gun than normal, thus allowing for more stability and control when firing the relatively large caliber weapons with only one hand. Looking at the pistols at merely an exterior level, each is cast from hardened stainless steel with polished chrome plating and black combat grips. On the outer edge of the slide of each weapon is an engraving of the words “Iscariot” and “Section 13” surrounding the symbol of the Papacy in sweeping gothic lettering. On the interior edge of the slides are the additional engravings (in identical lettering) “In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritus Sancti, Amen”. Looking past the exterior and cosmetic alterations, Wolfe’s pistols have been completely re-chambered to handle the powerful .480 Ruger round as opposed to the original .45 rounds. With extended magazines, Heinkel’s pistols each have an ammo capacity of twelve rounds with an additional round stored in the chamber. The rounds that she uses are most commonly jacketed hollowpoints cast from blessed silver and bathed in holy water before undergoing blessings from the bishops. Each of these guns is carried in a leather shoulder holster hidden beneath her cassock which she also uses to carry additional ammunition.

Spoiler:

While her handguns are quite formidable in their own right, Heinkel accepts the fact that at times a more explosive touch is required to fit the situation. As such, she carries a weapon known as a kampfpistole. A throwback to the days of WW2, the kampfpistole began as a flare gun before eventually being converted to fire high explosive shells as an anti-tank weapon. Chambered for 27mm HE grenades, the weapon allows for only one shot before needing to be reloaded. Though Heinkel’s is not an original model, the principles remain the same for the most part with the exception of superior parts in Wolfe’s modern replica. Cast in blackened steel, Heinkel’s grenade pistol is kept in a tactical holster on the back of her waist.

Spoiler:

Lastly, when faced with danger in close combat, Heinkel falls back on her personal fighting knife. Measuring 15.25 inches overall, it is a single edge blade forged in the fires of the Iscariot armory from hardened carbon steel before a powder coating of silver was added in addition to numerous blessings from high ranking members of the clergy. The grip of the weapon is hand carved oak recycled from a cross used in a small church just outside Vatican City, painted black. Several holes are present in the center of the blade which serve as makeshift blood grooves and have the added advantage of lessening the weight of the blade. Also present on this particular piece of killing perfection, is a molded ring guard at the base of the blade to protect the index finger of the wielder and help them maintain a stronger grip on the weapon should an enemy attempt to disarm them.

Race:
Human

Abilities:

Considered to be one of the top three operatives in the entire Iscariot organization, Heinkel is a highly trained field agent specializing in both anti-terrorism as well as anti-vampire operations. Her real claim to fame however, is her utter mastery of small firearms and general marksmanship. Having received her first pair of handguns as a child, Heinkel has spent years refining and eventually perfecting the art of wielding two guns at once. While many are quick to discourage the use of two pistols over one due to a loss of accuracy, Wolfe’s ambidextrous nature and hyperawareness of her surroundings have gradually allowed her to make it a nonfactor. She boasts a nigh unparalleled record on the Iscariot target courses to match her career in the field, capable to engaging multiple targets at varying distances without any noticeable loss in accuracy or consistency.

All that being said, her impressive marksmanship is not limited to pistols alone. Trained in a wide variety of ranged weaponry, she is more than capable of utilizing various rifle models and explosive weaponry. Outside of actually using this weaponry, the latent effects of Heinkel’s efforts to perfect gunfighting have given her impeccable battle field awareness. That is to say she is able to keep track of multiple targets at the same time through a keen depth perception and special recognition. Having become almost second nature to her, it is something of a running joke among her peers that Heinkel sees a battle from a bird’s eye view rather than her position within it.

Spoiler:

Moving on from her firearms training, Heinkel maintains a very high level of overall fitness as is required by her position. Growing up alongside the berserker Yumie Takagi served as added motivation to improve and compete on a similar level; motivation which was harnessed and focused under the watchful eye of her mentor, Father Alexander Anderson. All this has amounted to an ideal agent of Judas Iscariot capable of outperforming even the artificial vampires of millennium in most fields (putting her at roughly Cat D status). However, as was previously stated, Heinkel’s abilities are heavily influenced by her training with Yumie Takagi, an agent specializing in speed. As such, Heinkel put in considerable effort to improve her reaction time so as to contend with her sparring partner’s insane quickness (putting her reaction time and perceptions at Cat B status).

Over the years her miscellaneous training and education in the Vatican allowed her to pick up a wide variety of skills both combat-oriented and otherwise. To supplement her firearms training, Heinkel was instructed in the proper use and techniques associated with military grade knife fighting (a skill she is quite fond of) as well as unarmed combat emphasizing brutality and efficiency while facing physically superior opponents. Lastly, she received a college level education in addition to her Biblical studies required to officially enter the clergy. As her missions have taken her all around the world, she has gradually picked up several languages including German, English, and a bit of Japanese though she is far from fluent.

Organization:
The 13th Section of Vatican Offices: The Iscariot Organization (specifically a member of the Armed Priest Corps)

Personality:

The Iscariot Organization is an odd mix of sociopaths, psychopaths, homicidal killers, devoted clergymen, kind caretakers, and self-hating martyrs. Heinkel Wolfe best exemplifies the last of those diverse personalities. Raised as an orphan of the Vatican since birth, she has been told all her life that it is her purpose to kill the enemies of the Church, to root out abominations and sing the praises of Heaven to the unwashed. However, nobody told the young Heinkel about all the blood, the broken bodies, the tears of orphaned children with broken families, and most importantly the innocent lives that she had been forced to end under the premise of “orders are orders”. Heinkel no longer believes in the blind biblical loyalty that many of her peers share. She fully understands that what she has dedicated her life to is wrong. She despises herself for all the murder and death, acknowledging that she is most likely destined to damnation for her transgressions. However, she continues on because she has no other alternative. Though her actions are morally wrong in her eyes, she does believe in their necessity. Were it not her pulling the trigger it would be someone else and thus she accepts the burden of the Iscariot without complaint.

In order to deal with the mounting stress that her life creates, Heinkel has developed several coping methods. Her choice of dress is both a rebellion and a shield. A quiet reminder to herself that she is trying to separate herself from the blind fanaticism that drives her fellows by dressing in a way that flies in the face of the norm. Her obscuring hair and glasses create a barrier for her, sparing her from looking herself directly in the eye when facing her own reflection and, in her mind, the less of her that people can easily see the easier it is for her to slip into the ignorant bliss of a cold executioner. Despite these renegade actions, Sister Wolfe’s loyalty to the cause and those who properly maintain it is as strong as iron. She would gladly lay down life, limb, or more for the good of Iscariot and those within it. Taking after her mentor to a certain regard, she is not above questioning certain orders that seem to go beyond even the brutality of Iscariot. That being said, disagreeing with an order and disobeying it are two very things and Heinkel does not yet possess the sheer faith in her conscience that Father Anderson does.

Raised by Alexander Anderson, Heinkel is very loyal to the Scotsman and went through a great deal of effort to walk in his large footsteps as best she could. In addition to him, she has a strong connection with many of her fellow Iscariots who were raised alongside her at the orphanage but none compare to her friendship with Yumiko Takagi. Having become the first real friend that the troubled Japanese girl made upon her arrival at Anderson’s orphanage, they became almost inseparable in their early lives and furthered their bond as partners within the Iscariot Organization. There is much speculation as to how deep the relationship between the two of them goes but the truth is a matter known only to them, whether it is friendship or something even more intimate.

Biography:

Farahilde Wolfe was inducted into the Iscariot Organization through her connection with Father Marco Renaldo, a respected member of the black operations group and one of her seniors during her years of education in Church history and theology. Though many considered her too old to be properly trained for the labors associated with the Disciples of Judas, she was insistent and Renaldo eventually relented, giving her his recommendation. Against the expectations of her many doubters, the Austrian woman took well to her lessons and it was not long before she had earned enough trust from her instructors to be sent forth on her first field mission (albeit, a rather low risk one as far as Vatican Officials were concerned). Her assignment was simple; a local band of miscreants in southern Italy had reportedly begun experimenting in pagan teachings and the occult. Already a violent group of killers, their further descent into debauchery and heresy had drawn the interest of the Iscariot. These men were slaughtering unarmed clergy and could not be allowed to continue such horrendous practices. And so Sister Farahilde was dispatched to southern Italy.

Heinkel’s mother, Farahilde Wolfe:
Spoiler:

Sadly, in the end the claims made by Sister Farahilde’s doubters were well-founded. Upon arriving on the scene it became clear that while she may have possessed the necessary skills to deal with the gang members, she did not have the will to pull the trigger against human targets. In her hesitation, the occultists set upon her, overwhelming the startled woman before rendering her unconscious. However, the beatings she received were only the beginning. One after another, the occultists ravished her body, defiling her purity and dignity long into the night. When they had finally appeased their lust, the left the broken woman bound within the run down shack she had tracked them to and stole off into the night. Lying there bloodied, desecrated, and unable to move, Farahilde could do nothing but wait and curse herself for her own inadequacy. She did not blame God, nor the Iscariot for her hell on Earth. It had been her choice to join their ranks and ignore the wise warnings they had given. In the end she could only rationalize it as due punishment for her sins of pride. Two days later, Father Alexander Anderson arrived on the scene, dispatched by the Vatican when no report of Sister Farahilde’s status arrived. In his rage, Father Anderson tracked down the heathens responsible for her humiliation and butchered them with his bare hands before safely escorting Farahilde herself back to Vatican City so that her wounds could be treated.

Those wounds were in fact the least of Sister Farahilde’s concern, the encounter with the heathens had left the nun pregnant. As per Catholic tradition, abortion was out of the question and Farahilde spent her pregnancy slowly recovering from the emotional and physical remnants of her assault. No longer deemed fit to serve as a member of the Vatican’s black ops, she resigned herself to a life of mediocracy but she was denied even that. The pains of childbirth atop the horrors her body had endured before it were too much for Farahilde and as she brought forth a daughter into the world, she slowly slipped away. The child’s name was selected by Father Renaldo, who felt much in the way of guilt over the tragedy of Farahilde’s assignment. Heinkel Farahilde Wolfe was brought into the world of Catholicism without a mother or father, left with only the care of the Church. Transferred to a local orphanage run by Father Alexanderson himself, she spent her early life as any other child would, nipping at the scotsman’s heels and gradually coming to accept his ideologies as her own.

At the age of six, she was joined by one Yumiko Takagi, a troubled girl of Japanese origin plagued by emotional and personality disorders that made her almost incapable of properly socializing with other children or even her caretakers. Father Anderson changed all that, putting up with the bites, the threats, the insults, and the anger in an attempt to bring light into the girl’s life. Heinkel happily followed his example and slowly but surely bonded with Takagi, establishing a report with both sides of her cracked psyche until a sense of trust was finally established which eventually blossomed into friendship. A year later, the two were joined by yet another interesting case. Though the boy had parents of good standing, he had been given up to the Church in the care of Father Anderson and Father Renaldo. A quiet, serious, and bright young man, his name was Enrico Maxwell and his anti-social personality put even Yumie’s early tantrums to shame. Despite that, Heinkel put forth the same effort that she had with Yumiko to bond with the boy and though she never managed to truly unravel the anger that had a hold over him, she and Yumiko did become the closest thing that he had to “friends” as it were.

Upon reaching the age of ten, Heinkel’s education took a great shift in favor of physical exercise and fitness. The classes taught by local priests grew much darker, praising the blind faith of the martyrs in the past and paying special attention to the times of violence throughout the Church’s history. Soon enough, Heinkel approached Father Anderson alongside Yumiko and Enrico as to the true nature of their odd education. Unwilling to lie to his beloved charges, Anderson revealed to them the existence of the Iscariot and their purpose within the Church. It was at that time that he presented them with a grave choice, to stay on the path set for them and enter the ranks of Iscariot when they came of age or turn away from it to pursue their own endeavors. Regardless of their choice, Father Anderson intended to support them, but much to his surprise, they chose the path of the martyr. They were willing to follow his trail as a disciple of Judas.

Heinkel as a child alongside Enrico Maxwell, Yumie Takagi, and Father Alexander Anderson:
Spoiler:

From that point onward, Heinkel’s training intensified tenfold. Now fully aware of her end goal she was gradually introduced to the world of the supernatural and undead as well as the most effective methods for combating them. When she was finally old enough to leave the orphanage, Wolfe remained within Vatican City to complete her training as a holy agent of divine punishment, slowly rising to the forefront of her class alongside Yumie under the watchful eyes of Father Renaldo and Anderson. Learning from the mistakes of the past, the instructors did not spare the rod in Heinkel’s combat education, above all they would not allow her to become a tragedy like her mother. It paid off in the end as Sister Heinkel Wolfe entered the field for the first time as a fully-fledged member of the Order. Unlike her late mother, Heinkel did not hesitate to gun down the heathens before her. She was an agent of the Lord afterall, why should she waver?

As time moved on and Sister Wolfe’s effectiveness as one of Iscariot’s top killers became apparent, the mounting number of corpses slowly took its’ toll one her. More and more, self-doubt and disgust began to haunt the Austrian gunwoman as she carried out the will of the papacy. For a time, following Father Anderson’s entrance into semi-retirement, Heinkel was forced to carry a heavy burden as the primary field agent for the Order while Yumiko was sent to assist in humanitarian work in the Middle East. However, this state of affairs only lasted a few months before Yumiko’s group was kidnapped by a local group of fanatical terrorists and Sister Wolfe was sent to negotiate their release. Of course, Iscariot has a very unique definition of “negotiation” and the affair ended with Heinkel unleashing the berserker Yumie who ripped apart the remains of the extremist sect after Heinkel herself gunned down several of them in the initial chaos. This mission marked the reunion of Heinkel’s partnership with Takagi and it was not long before they were sent on their next mission based on a contact with an arms dealer.

In broad daylight, a transport containing Church donations was hijacked by an up and coming militant group interesting the illegal transport of weapons to start a private war. Tracking them to the hotel where they were staying, Heinkel used their contact within the arms supplier to storm the room and slaughter the assembled thieves while Yumie dealt with their leader. Following the incident with the thieves, Heinkel was next sent with Yumie to exterminate an up and coming cult that had recently become violent, using nerve gas against the Vatican itself. Though their act of aggression was extreme, they posed no real challenge for the two Iscariots and were swiftly decimated. Returning to Rome, Heinkel was able to enjoy a rare period of rest and relaxation that was made even more enjoyable with the news that her mentor Father Anderson had returned to full active duty following an engagement with the Hellsing Organization in Baddrick Ireland.

That vacation period lasted only so long before the clues leading towards the famed Letz Battalion revealed spies within the Vatican itself and it fell to Enrico Maxwell and the Iscariot to root them out. Naturally, Enrico didn’t dirty his hands with the killing, instead having Heinkel or her peers execute the traitors. From that time Sister Wolfe more often than not found herself assigned as Maxwell’s personal bodyguard during his various meetings with other organizations including the Round Table conference. She was, in fact, present at the initial meeting of powers where The Major revealed his intentions and officially declared war upon Hellsing, indirectly beginning the preparation for the Ninth Aerial Crusade. Deployed to London in 1999 alongside the rest of the Armed Priest Corps, Heinkel assisted in various engagements against the forces of Millenium and the temporary escort of Integra Hellsing (much to her chagrin). Upon Alucard’s return to the combat zone and his subsequent release to Level Zero, the Crusade was officially called to an end and Sister Wolfe withdrew with the rest of her companions back to Rome.

Heinkel in London with the rest of the Armed Priest Corps:
Spoiler:

To this day Heinkel still questions herself and the actions she has committed while slipping ever deeper into the well of fanaticism where her mentor and closest friend reside. Her loyalty absolute, Sister Heinkel Wolfe remains a staple in the Iscariot Organization, rock solid and dependable amidst the chaos of the battles against the forces of Millenium even as her tenuous hold on sanity slips away with each new kill.

“Chapter 6” she thought to herself as she turned the page of the book in her grasp. Wind blew softly through her blond locks while she lazily swung her leg back and forth over the armrest of the bench she was currently sprawled across. In the distance she could hear children at play, running and tumbling over the freshly cut grass of the front lawn of the orphanage. In her peripheral vision she could just make out a large grey shape running alongside the group of kids and his rich laughter mixed well with their own. It was odd coming back here every now and then. First, because of all her own memories from the perspective of the hyperactive little kids now using the Paladin Monster Slayer as a jungle gym. Second, because she had seen his other side enough times now to understand the true duality her mentor struggled with. It was frightening to be honest, to think he could switch between a loving father one minute and a cackling juggernaut the next. At the same time however, she’d be lying if she said she didn’t envy him for it. It would be so much easier if she could compartmentalize like that, if she could just summon up the pure devotion like he did. But no matter how hard she try, the “crusade” was just a job to her. She just didn’t have the passion he shared with Yumie.

Sighing to herself, she returned her attention to her book and turned the page again. The book in which she found herself so engaged was a collection of articles by a philosopher by the name of Kant. In it he discussed the idea of morality applying only to those worthy of being considered people. Smirking at one line in particular referencing Kant’s views on suicide, Heinkel couldn’t help but scoff a little. “Maxvell vould haff a field day vith zhis guy. Not zhat he needs any excuses to bash the Protestants…” she said to no one in particular. Diverting her attention from her book at the sound of footsteps, Sister Wolfe glanced up to see none other than her partner and closest friend Yumiko Takagi looking down on her.

“Heeeeeinkel, you know you shouldn’t criticize the Chief like that. Especially not around all these impressionable little kids. Think of what they’ll make of it!” the Japanese nun said, evidently concerned about conflict among her companions and the spreading of even more rumors in their organization. Pushing herself into a sitting position, Wolfe marked her place in the book and gave a slight shrug in response. “Relax Yumiko, zhe kids can’t hear us from here und even if zhey could it’s not like zhey von’t find out eventually if zhey stick around here.” She replied, her Austrian accent carrying through as she surveyed Father Anderson’s game of Red Rover on the opposite end of the lawn.

Yumiko frowned at that logic but eventually nodded in agreement. Heinkel had a point, an unfortunate one, but she had a point alright. Looking back to the dark haired woman, Heinkel lit a cigarette and brought it to her lips and taking a short drag. “Did ve ever get our next assignment from zhe higher ups?” Wolfe asked, somewhat eager to get back into the field. Relaxation was nice but she had too much free time on her hands and it had begun to take its’ toll. Yumiko immediately brightened up in response, smiling broadly and bouncing her weight from one foot to another in rapid succession. “Oh yes! They sent the orders out just this morning. I’m so excited Heinkel, we get to go to Florida! Think of all the cute little fish and beaches! Won’t it be fun!?” she asked, suppressing a giggle. Heinkel did her best to mask her less than enthusiastic opinion. Old people, hot weather, overpriced lodging, crowds, more old people, obnoxious college kids, and even more old people. This was going to be a long mission.

Battle Post

The door to the large, empty room swung open with a groan, the doorway filled by a black silhouette. Striding into the room, Heinkel’s boots clicked loudly on the floor tiles as she scanned the room. Pieces of furniture were still spread across the area, each of them obscured by a white dust cover. The only entrance points were the door which swung closed behind her and three medium sized windows along the left wall. It must have been relatively nice in its’ hay day but now years of disuse had left in in shambles. Continuing to the room’s center, she slowly withdrew a cigarette as clouds began to slide in over the moon, gradually removing the only light source in the room. Putting her lighter away, she exhaled a small puff of smoke before addressing the seemingly empty room. “I don’t haff time to vaste on zhe likes of you. Come out und let’s get zhis over vith.” She said coldly.

Finally, the moonlight left the room completely, leaving it in eerie pitch blackness. At first, the glow from Heinkel’s cigarette was all that cut through the darkness but soon it was joined by a dozen pair of red glowing eyes and terrible guttural howls of hunger and pain cut into the silence. The horde of ghouls burst from hiding en masse and rushed the lone nun standing apparently unarmed and blind in the darkness. In the little light provided by Heinkel’s cigarette, the perceptive might have notice the telltale flashes of chrome as her twin handguns were brought to bear. In rapid succession, powerful flashes of light ignited the darkness as fire and silver leapt from the barrels of Heinkel’s pistols. Moving more like a dancer than a soldier, her crisp, sharp movements unleashed a hail of gunfire all around her as the ghouls dropped one after another.

The entire affair had lasted less than a minute total. As the clouds rolled back to reveal the moon once more, its’ light shown down on a grisly scene of divine retribution. Sister Wolfe stood alone surrounded by more than a dozen warped and rotting bodies, the remnants of a vampire’s force of ghouls. Their decayed bodies had been ripped apart by large caliber holy ammunition and they now lay still bleeding out onto the floor. Not a single one had reached the Iscariot who casually ejected two empty magazines in favor of a fresh pair. Tapping her cigarette, she let the ash fall to the floor without a second thought and turned on her heel to leave the room. Yumie would hopefully be finishing up right about now with the monster that had made these things but one could never be too sure.

Reaching for the door, Wolfe’s gloved hand closed in on the doorknob when a light rustle caught her attention. From the pile of bodies emerged one final member of the undead horde. A large hole had been blown through his chest but evidently Heinkel had gotten sloppy in worrying about Yumie and missed the heart. The beast rushed towards the woman from behind, it’s powerful jaws bearing down on her neck. However, the creature didn’t get far as the nun whirled about, drawing her left pistol in a flourish just in time for the ghoul’s momentum to carry its’ gaping mouth onto her gun barrel. A wry grin appeared on Heinkel’s lips as her trigger finger tightened, not giving the ghoul a chance to react to the most recent turn of events. “Amen you filthy animal.” A final pull of the trigger sent a blessed round tearing through the ghoul’s skull to finally end its’ existence once and for all. Pedestrian as this assignment may have been, the time it was taking to draw out all these pests was irritating to say the least. So much for the glorious calling of the Disciples of Judas Iscariot. After all this Sister Heinkel Wolfe more like a pest exterminator than anything else.
