enter ------ > The library

Harjit shoved open the door and stopped in front of the microphone, briefly breathing heavily. "Attention Hellsing and wild geese forces! The mansion is under attack by Millennium, we need back up now!" He pumped the mossberg once and re-entered the hallways of the mansion. Hopefully, the message was heard on the headsets the agent's in the streets had as well...

====>Infirmary

It had been anything but easy, slowly inching his way through the metallic maze that was the ventilation shaft system for the mansion.  Though there were a number of close calls, the guard patrols seemed to be moving in the direction he had just come from.  Obviously the bodies had been discovered which only meant he was on that much tighter of a schedule.  Finally, after what felt like an eternity, Almos spied the glow of a wall of security screens in a dark room.  A guard sat at the station, diligently observing the footage and switching the main feed from time to time, searching for something or someone.  "My aren't I popular?" Lorand thought to himself, slowly bending the metal grating of the vent cover.  As the opening to the vent widened, the guard picked up the security phone.  "This is Jenkins.  No, no sign of him yet.  The infirmary room camera's angle didn't cover the corner he ran to after he took them out but I'm sweeping the angles now so I'll have him sooner or later.  Yea, I'll keep you updated." Private Jenkins said, ending the call.

This was the chance Almos needed.  No other guards in the room, Jenkins was distracted.  It had to be now.  Gripping the edge of the vent grate, Lorand burst from the ventilation shaft with all the speed he could muster.  Landing a few paces short of the guard, Almos hit the ground rolling and dove for Jenkins once more.  The guard spun in his chair, caught unawares by the sudden, aggressive advance.  He moved to scream but the speed of the vampire was too much and fangs sank into his windpipe before a proper warning could be shouted to other Hellsing staff.  Opening the man's throat, Almos left him on the floor of the room and began inspecting the security terminals.  "Let's see...newer model.  Damn it"  the Hundarian cursed silently.  He was never much good with technology but at the very least he could recognize eject and power buttons.  Punching the eject button, the tapes currently in use to record the security footage were ejected from the loading deck.  Not wasting what little time he had, Almos removed them and crushed them beneath his heel into a small pile before setting the remains ablaze with a lighter so generously provided by Private Jenkins.

Without the footage, there should be no way for the cameras to record his escape but he had no way to be sure.  Modern technology be damned.  Besides, why allow this band of incompetent church goers to retain their vision when he could destroy it so easily?  Calling upon the rough extent of his grasp of machinery, Almos turned the damn cameras off.  "Now, what's the best way to get out of this damn place without getting ventilated by screaming slip shot mercenaries?"

Taking his time to ponder a clever means of escape was a luxury Almos simply could not afford.  He had to get out now and the best means for that was the way he got in.  In his earlier exploration of the ventilation shafts, Lorand had stumbled across the sound of engines; the manor garage.  He doubted that they would have allowed the government car he'd arrived in to simply wait in the front drive so it would be best to check the garage first for his ride out of here.  Climbing into the shaft once more, Almost did just that, beginning the slow crawl back towards the means of his escape.

=======>Exit (Rather than spam more NPC abusing posts I'll be using this as my exit post for the mansion as a whole.  Almos escaped by slipping back into his government car and quickly fleeing down the driveway.)

Entering from the infirmary
--------------------------
Karak had been scanning the halls with his new found 'friend' when he had opened the door the the com-links room as he had systematically done for the past five minutes. The corpse had its throat torn out but was immediately identified as private Jenkins, this was radioed over the feed along with the fact that the vampire (as they had all assumed it now was) was no where to be seen. Again the red trail from the vents, however the covered had been discarded this time, either in a rush or had jumped back in. Either was Karak had pretty much given up, while they were blundering about trying to find this creature it was probably long gone. He kept true despite this assumption and looked down the ventilation shaft for all it was worth and made a show to see if anything had been destroyed in the room apart from the pile of burnt pieces of plastic.

OOC-coming back from limbo
--------------------------------------
For the past couple of hours, Karak had worked diligently following any leads that might relate to the raid. To no avail however, the vampire had covered its tracks well. What they, and by they, meaning the team Pip had assigned him to work with indefinitely, what they really needed was a vampire. Alucard would be able to track this thing down within a few moments. However Karak would have to work around the clock to search for this mystery vampire. With a few more hours, he was sure they might have some solid intel, but by way of the importance of the trip Integra was on, it was obvious that she was either going to take very long or be back really soon. They did not have hours, they needed to show that they could work without a bloodthirsty fiend breathing down their necks or holding their hands.

Karak moved through the next couple of files and compiled them all into one big list in order of importance. If he couldn't figure something out, he thought he might know someone who would, or at least one of his new comrades would. It took him a few moments to get info on the field agent who would either know the exact way to help him or wouldn't.
